Luckily I have Apple Music and Bluetooth in my car so I don’t have to listen to the radio, so when I heard that walker hayes song for the first time here, I said “oh...god” out loud hahahaha it was just......shit. Country music is deeply insecure, and there's a strong urge to not rock the boat or be a hater. So anytime a country artist does anything there's a lot of commercial support for it, regardless of whether it's actually country music (or even good). It's the same reason pop artists want to do country crossovers, they know it will probably sell no matter how crass or bad. 13:15 FGL's output is so mixed because they themselves don't have anything interesting or meaningful to say, so they're entirely at the mercy of the songs they are handed. So when they churn out a ton of songs, yeah there's gonna be a bunch of crap mixed in.
