Nice work! I don't need another fountain pen but I do want one of these. I actually think I will enjoy that section; that surprises me. We'll see.. Frank in Colorado

Quality stuff, indeed. You couldn't ask for a flashier ink. Pen writes like a quill tip. So impressive.

I bought a Martinello knock off of this pen. It's beautiful, but it is slim as well. But so lovely I may yet ink it up and use it!
@CraigRoccanova2 жыл бұрын
The knock off probably writes better than this one did! Congrats on your new pen!

Thanks for the video. I am considering one of these right now. Does the pen have a metal barrel underneath the wood and do you know the uncapped weight? Icould find anything online regarding these.. Kind regards
@四季映姬2 жыл бұрын
Yep there is metal barrel underneath the wood and it is made of I guess copper.The pen is quite heavy even when uncapped. It weighs about 30g without the cap.

Graf Von Faber Castell is the high end brand from Faber Castell

Faber-Castell комплектуются стальными перьями JoWo. Graf von Faber-Castell комплектуются золотыми перьями Bock и дизайн более помпезный, более дорогие материалы корпуса

Just be careful, the Graf von Faber Castell fountain pens tend to have a singing nib. Sometimes they do get a bit noisy

A very handsome pen, but that metal narrow section is a non starter for me. Oh yeah, not to mention it being a "fingerprint magnet", too!
@CraigRoccanova3 жыл бұрын
It is hands down, my least favorite pen I own. I should do a follow up after some use but I find that when I uncap it, it will sometimes unscrew the section... not great. I have really small hands so I figured that narrow would be good but I have found that it is far more comfortable using bulkier pens! I just bought a vintage Montblanc Meisterstück 149 and it is stellar! Honestly the finger prints haven't bothered me as much as the rest of the thing has XD

It can be posted! The inner cap is plastic and it won't scratch it

Btw, this is shimmer ink. They tend to have more undissolved stuff in them.
@gabiaronco2 жыл бұрын
@@CraigRoccanova Obviously if you're using that ink. The pen writes like a dream with a good non-shimmering ink. I've had mine for a month and it's simply the smoothest EF I have, along with my Lamy 2000.
@andreas91195 ай бұрын
@@gabiaronco Yes, it depends on the ink. So far I have only used Graf inks or really wet inks in my Fine nib after seeing his follow up video. The regular Faber-Castell Royal Blue is quite wet and no issues. Graf von Faber-Castell Gulf blue is wet, but very non-libricating so it feels drier. It can run J Herbin Eclat de Saphir almost like a firehose for a Fine nib. It's a tradeoff when using a Fine or EF nib on variety of papers. The pen tends to get a bit drier in the last 1/3rd of the ink remaining in the converter with Gulf blue. Haven't tried any shimmering inks in this pen, but even my broad nib Faber-Castell Essentio struggles with something like Pelikan Edelstein Golden Lapis if you don't write right away with it or let it sit a few hours. I use those inks in my Lamy Safaris for this reason.

Lovely pen, Craig. Did it require much pressure to produce that line variation/flex? It came a cross like you were pushing hard!
