If you guys want to see Philadelphia graffiti in its rawest, purest form Visit the Philadelphia hoods playlist that I have on my page there are over 150 driving tours that I shot of different hoods in the city and you can spot out a variety of graffiti in different neighborhoods especially the rougher hoods. It’ll be kind a like where’s Waldo but with graffiti consider it an Easter egg hunt enjoy🙏🏽

This documentary DOES NOT represent the whole Philadelphia graff culture. It was a creative project that I did out of the kindness of my heart with my life long best friend who recently passed away last week. He filmed this documentary with me and was on B-Camera. Today we are resting him in the grave. One of the hardest days in my life. With that being said the Philadelphia graff community just took a big hit the past 2 or so months. To my knowledge -DEAZ -KARAZ -NEMO all passed away. and NOW my Friend. WALT AKA NEM (not to be confused with NEMO / 2 different people) Past away. So 4 losses in our community. One of which shot this documentary with me. MY BROTHER WALT We have hundreds of Artist in the city but only a very small percentage participated in this project. With that being said we only had 1 peacer in the segment. Bark... but aside from that if you wish to see more Philly Peices or Throwups follow the local Philly Graffiti pages on instagram or Facebook who show more current Philadelphia work and more "PEICERS/THROWUPS" then whats shown in this amateur documentary. Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch, comment and most importantly SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS. THANK YOU 😞🙏

@TOON2157 жыл бұрын
I appreciate you taking the time to log into your youtube account and comment. 🙏🙏🙏 But there is no reason in particular to "feel ashamed"... Not sure what you mean by "Gave" some dudes more time. Technically, when this amateur documentary was shot it was offered and opened up to all writers in the city. Out of about roughly 60 writers that contacted me to schedule appointments for interviews/writing sessions... Only about 35ish actually locked in dates. But ultimatley only 24 actually came through, followed through with their appointment and volunteered their time. Everyones segment is limited to the amount of time they provided. Some were able to give me 15-30 minutes of their time while others gave me hours with ease. Peka which is a childhood friend for over 20 years now... got incarcerated shortly after the filming of his segment (He actually never seen this documentary.) Drama and Karma were both very busy and hard to get in touch with during the filming of their segment due to their personal life obligations and their distance. But even people like Prince...had a very limited time frame. Not to mention Graffiti writers usually don't speak to cameras often... so I am happy for the very little time everyone gave me. But to say I favored/gave some dudes more screen time sounds funny lol. The universe provided the exact amount of timing it needed me to have with each writer. But best believe after this was released many writers started coming out of the woodwork saying they weren't notified, or why they weren't in it, or that they wanted a part in it. etc etc But whats done is done... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't take anything personal I appreciate the constructive criticism. This documentary is so old TO ME... that I cringe sometimes when thinking about it because it was such a experimental creative open ended project. 👐 HENCE ," This Amateur Documentary was released January 31st, 2016 It was shot roughly over a period of 3 years." 2013-2016 Again thanks for the feedback and thanks for the sub. Enjoy Your Day! -TOON.

Philly writter's scene is lame, that's why they stay hating on street artists who really make dope art. Philly writers are all about "Getting up," and give two shits about style!!! There's truly vandals out here. Word of advise, we have too many abandoned properties out here, practice your can control and develope an appealing style before you go out there trying to get up!!! Oh! Before I forget, writing ain't about no gangster shit either, stop fronting so much out here!!!

This is EXACTLY what I've been fiending for for decades. Tag discussions and street bombing. 100%. And the fact that Karma is in it just WOW. Could've been an even longer interview, but I get it a 100, so I'll stop right there. Passionate bombers all about doing. So few get it. WE LIVE! Thanks for sharing this!

Kuda Mtema thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Yea some writers provided very little time during their scheduled shooting day hence why some are longer then others. The ones that spent more time gave more time. 🙏🏽⭐️ have a great day 🤜🏽🤛🏽

@@supercoolmarioshorts6356 word. But kilroy was the actual first bomber, they got up like a crew - many soldiers left the same mark in enemy territory during world war 2. Tramps were also catching monikers etc.. back in the early 1900's that's where graffiti was originally ingrained.
