Graffiti isn't everyone's cup of tea. With that said, I have an appreciation for it if it has a "wow" factor to it. We get rail deliveries where I work, so I'm always checking out the new centerflow hoppers each week to see what we've got. I'll snap pictures of the ones I like and keep it as a reference for future projects on my layout. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate you braving to cold to capture this.

I’m pretty neutral about it at this point since it is pretty much everywhere and will never go away. But this particular train ended up catching my eye - maybe because that’s all that was there to look at today. Thanks for stopping by.

Nice railfanning! Graffiti, IMO, is both vandalism and art. With that being said the talent that some of these taggers have can't be denied. It certainly makes for a bit of entertainment as you are watching a long train. Like it or not, graffiti has become a part of the American railroad landscape. So much so, that when you don't see it it seems a bit odd. As you stated, it doesn't appear to be a priority for the railroads to monitor this much, especially considering how widespread it is has been over the years. As a modeler, even though I don't "overdo" it, this reality is represented on my layout and definitely brings an element of realism and detail to it. I'll have to reference your video when I begin weathering my autoracks. The combination of footage and music made for a nice presentation. Thanks for sharing.

It definitely adds variety. I try not to overdo it on the layout but when I run trains that lack graffiti, it definitely feels less authentic.

I’m pretty sure the railroad workers let them do whatever they want these days tbh

Some Graffiti is considered "ART WORK" & most graffiti is just VANDALISM. However; Graffiti does ADD REALISM to your layout.

I agree. I’ve become indifferent to it but pepper it in here and there for realism
