He was an actor set up to be put in power to start the process of an oligarchy meaning the destruction of the usa as we see today with the white supremacist hand picked judges that have set up a position for a Dictator. Reagan was one of the worst presidents as well as both Bush and definitely diaper boy convicted felon fraud r8pist etc etc WAKE up the facts exist. Reagan destroyed the economy plus use propaganda against people of color. The "conservative" klan are anti American and use the word "patriotism" "nationalism" same campaign as Hitler

I wish we had him back today. He got things done by communicating with people. He was tough as nails and strong in his belief in the American people, but he was also a man who just believed in freedom and how being free people makes the difference. WWI was a terrible war. The soldiers were subjected to chemical warfare. They lived in open trenches. And they were sent across open ground, completely exposed, into machine gun fire and gas attacks. So many young boys on both sides of the war were killed and wounded. It must have been an absolute terror.
@nadjasunflower1387
@nadjasunflower1387 3 күн бұрын
yup...what Jono was trying to say to his kids. WWI was the first mechanized war. Tactics (how you fight) hadn't caught up with the technological leaps that had been made in the few short years leading up to 1914. Outdated tactics, and unprecidented ways of killing each other equals a very horrible existence for those that had to live it.

Reagan was THE president! His “Time for choosing” speech after he switched from a Democrat to a Republican is awesome and despite being from the 60’s it’s just as applicable today as it was then. Then, his speech telling Mr. Gorbachev to “tear down this war” from our side of the Berlin Wall, another great example of how he could move listeners. But, there’s one speech that is absolute perfection, and it came at the worst of times. After the space shuttle Challenger disaster he gave the “touch the face of God” speech and it’s making me want to cry just thinking about it. Just short, sweet and beautiful. You t had every word it needed and nothing it didn’t. If there’s any of his your kids need to see, it’s that one!

Ronald Reagan I voted for when my wife and I were stationed in Frankfurt West Germany. I have lived a life of some history. In the beginning of my Army tenure, I first auditioned for the Army Band program since I studied classical music in college. Then I volunteered for the M1 Tank after it first came out. And I was drafted an Army Recruiter. Ronald Reagan to me meant so much. Besides playing for President Carter, I had the honor to play for Ronald Reagan at the Ceremony for his Birthday in Dixon, IL. A very cold day indeed. After he was first elected, I had the honor of playing for the Iranian Hostages when they left from Germany to the States. He was known as the great communicator. He made it possible to start loving our country again. That it was alright to be a patriot. I will always miss him and hold him dear to my heart. I love hearing him again. Loved the reaction and your family. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. 🍻❤️🌹🤘

I am a retired History Teacher. The last video I showed my Middle School students in Houston (6th graders) was Reagan’s speech in Germany (“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”) in front of the Berlin Wall. Reagan was a popular Hollywood actor for many years before going into politics. He, along with Margaret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II worked to bring down the USSR, liberating millions who lived behind the Iron Curtain. Iran held several of our people hostage (for 444 days) while Jimmy Carter was president. Almost immediately after Reagan won his first election-the hostages were freed and sent home. When he ran for president after his first term, Reagan won 49 out of 50 states in a landslide victory. Thank you for showing this very inspirational video.

Always love a Graham Family video! Especially when the kids are a part of the watch too. Reagan was a great public speaker, but having been a Hollywood actor prepared him well for that. He gave many stirring speeches, but he also could be witty on the spur of the moment. A man tried to assassinate President Reagan soon after he took office and shot him before being captured. As Reagan was being driven away to the hospital he apparently said to his wife, "Forgive me, Nancy. I forgot to duck." If I remember correctly, he also said a prayer for the person who tried to shoot him. Several years later he was giving a speech, I believe in Germany, at a festive occasion with balloons and such around. During his speech a balloon popped. He stopped his speech for a second, said "Missed me" with a straight face, and then continued his speech without a hitch after making that teasing reference to the earlier assassination attempt. When he was still in Hollywood he was thinking about going into politics and when he mentioned this to one of his actor friends (maybe Jimmy Stewart? I don't remember for sure) they encouraged him to do it. Jokingly he put on a hurt expression, looked at his friend, and said, "Gosh, don't you like my acting either?" The game Trivial Pursuit came out during his presidency, and he was a fan of it. One time, having landed on a space for an entertainment question, he was asked, "Who said 'I am the Errol Flynn of B (i.e. second rate) movies?'" He correctly answered "I did." and took another turn. 😀 The man was a great president and an amazing speaker. At speeches like this one I can't help but tear up. He made so many great and moving speeches over his career.

There’s plenty of WW1movies and documentaries. My grandfather served in the US Army during that war. Then my day served in the US Army in WW2 landing on Omaha beach and taking part in the Battle of the Bulge. I will always love my country and its founding principles.

You should watch the videos on American overseas battle monuments. You can see how many American soldiers who have died in wars protecting other countries. It visually shows you how selfless American Soldiers were when it comes to defending freedom.

My GF fled here from a socialist nation, learned the history and language and became a naturalized citizen. Her and her people are as patriotic as any natural-born citizen. More so in some ways because they experienced much hardship (as a way of life) before coming here.

President Reagan is right up there with Lincoln !! (You also know he was a movie star right! Yes, his first wife was Jane Wyman (movie/tv star)...and Nancy Reagan who was also a movie star when they married! His movies include Knute Rockne All American, Murder in the Air, An Angel from Texas, Brother Rat and a Baby . . . these are just a few and obviously they are from the 30's -50's....but good movies!! Our country felt safe when he was President - and he ended the cold war! Awesome man, awesome patriot!! We could use a Ronald Reagan today!!! But Trump will do just fine!!!
