Thank you for the compliment. As for those who dismiss the music of the mid 1960's, without that music you wouldn't have today's music. Not on the radio anyway. Also, singer/songwriters like David Crosby, Phil Ochs, John Lennon, etc, etc, you wouldn't have rap. I don't particularly like rap but it is a good outlet but unlike the songs of Crosby, Ochs, etc, you don't hear people saying they are still relevant 60 years after they were written. Gotta run. Peace.

HIs voice is still magnificient. I met him at a local art store a few years ago where he was selling his paintings. He told me he lives in Hawaii. The picture he drew was called FireDance. He was just like this--very polite and sweet and genuine.

i was in a first class flight from Kauai on a family vacation. And Graham was on that flight with us. I went up to him and thanked him for his music and he was most gracious. We talked about my family and his home on Kauai. And he acknowledged me way after in LAX terminal. What a wonderful moment. Rock Royalty. We saw him in a small theatre in Palm Desert last year. and at the Indian casino the year before with Crosby and Stills. He still has it. Great voice and they can PLAY!!!!!

I had the honor and privilege to meet this talented gentlemen. I was a DJ doing an "after show" event for CS&N in Florida, in the 90's. Trying to get set up before their show their tour bus blocked my unloading area and I was told to seek out their tour manager who would fix things. When I found the tour manager, Graham was also in the same area and heard what was going on. Grahama said he would help me unload my stuff because Crosby was still asleep on the bus and he didn't want to awaken him. And so legendary musician Graham Nash helped me unload my equipment. We had a short and cheerful chat as well. What a thoughtful and down-to-earth guy he is. His humanity that day left a big impression on me to this day and was a great example of how your should treat others regardless of how much prestige and how many fans you may have. I saw the show they put on and it was great as well. He is a talented, intelligent, kind man.

You need to know: "Stars" in the 60s were completely different. As a matter of fact you couldn't be so arrogant back then. And some of them were able to maintain that attitude. Graham Nash is certainly one of those, and if he was still among us Rory Gallagher would be the same. I still remember the Hollies' within-controversy when Nash spoke in favour of the group having to grow up and Tony Hicks who wanted the Hollies to sound more corny. I'm sure Hicks became very arrogant after the break-up of the band.

Hi! I also had the extreme pleasure of meeting this man after trying to meet CSN&/orY for about 30 yrs. It was after a CSN concert in Clearwater, Florida, in 1992. I sent each one of the boys a dozen red roses and an individualized handwritten card. I sent pink roses and a card to Jan Crosby also because I knew she accompanied David to every show. Graham thanked me by name on stage during the show and I met them after. When it was my turn in line for an autograph, Graham realized who I was and kisses me!! OMG!!! I just died!!! We chatted briefly and I'll never forget one word. I agree with everything you said about him. He's a real GENTELMAN.

Also, this must be said . I met Jan while waiting in line for an autograph and we hit it off immediately. She blends with the crowd waiting to meet the guys and just people watches. She is awesome cool. We talked and laughed for a long while. She told me the boys really loved the roses, but they were REALLY HYPED about the cards. She said they were passing them back and forth, saying," what did she say in yours?". That made me so happy, I could have just died fulfilled, right there. To think I had a moment to tell them something I loved about each of them and they would actually read it and love it was almost too much to believe! Jan and I hugged, and I've met up with her at many other of their shows. She was WODERFUL!! I loved meeting her as much as meeting my boys!! True story

I saw them on that tour. It was an at-least-half acoustic show, when that was only *just* starting to be commercially viable. (Around the same time as Page & Plant.) Graham introduced his new song about unrequited love and said, "We've all been there." The way he said it was so genuine. A bunch of us spontaneously applauded for a song we hadn't yet heard. He remains the real deal!!

Ann, I'm with you, honey! I'm 65 and have loved CSN & sometimes Y for 55 yrs! I brought them each a bouget of red roses at a concert in Clearwater, Florida. I was sitting in the 3rd row. Graham came out with the roses in his hand, places them on his piano, and thanks me by name! I died and went to Heaven! After the show, he autographed my album and kissed me on the cheek. I said, OH MY GOD! I'll never wash my cheek again!! And Graham said, "Oh, but ya af to, or your 'ol man won't lay with ya"!! I think I walked on air for the next 2 weeks, sighing occassionally.

I was in my 20s then (😱🤣); I still love these guys and appreciate them all the more, now that pop/rock music has spiraled downward since the '90s. I've always felt that my generation underrated and underappreciated this band. I've wanted to see them a couple more times since but missed out, and now I'm kicking myself harder since Stills' stroke and Croz's falling out with him, Graham, and Neil. If we're lucky, they'll all "bury the hatchet" and do a reunion tour b4 it's too late. It's unlikely I know, but as the Bard said, "hope springs eternal" ! So nice to see another passionate CSN/Y fan on here ! Funny you should mention Clearwater; my Mom lives about 20 miles south of Tampa, and I've enjoyed Clearwater/CW Beach, Tarpon Springs, etc when I've visited. You calling me "adorable" must have addled my brain more than I thought! BUT, when I read about you seeing Stephen in a bar, solo, in Miami, OMG SHARKEY! I WAS THERE!!!! I WAS THERE! I had heard about Stephen being there, solo, and zoomed over there. It was in a bar just off 95, in Hollywood, wasn't it? Stephen ONLY EVER played in a bar like that just that one time. I know, because I lived in Ft Lauderdale from 1979 til 1993, and I went to every concert Crosby, Stills, Nash and /or Young played at during those years! I have all the ticket stubs to prove it, too! CSN would play like in Ft. Laud., then Miami, then Orlando or Tampa or Lakeland. I'd go to all the shows for that visit to FL. Neil, same thing. He would almost always play the James L. Knight Center in Miami for 2 nites then play Tampa or Orlando for 2 more. He tied up his boat, the " Ragland" at Monte Trainer's in Key Biscayne and then play his Florida dates. I sincerely followed them everywhere they went in Florida during those years. I couldnt believe it that Stephen was going to be at a small, intimate, setting so I'd FINALLY be able to meet him. I was probably standing right behind you! I had absolute plans on hooking up with Mr. Stills that nite. I was amazed at how few people were there, but, haha!, easier to get my claws into Stephen. Do you remember a girl in a tight, short, black dress, with 5 inch black heels, screaming " I love you" to Stephen every chance she got? I was whistling and applauding continously throughout the entire show. But then my heart sank, because, and I wonder if you noticed, there was a very buxom redhead off to Stephen's left, who was very obviously 'With him'. (If you know what I mean) So, my plans of hooking up went down the tubes. And I remember, Stephen didnt stay long to sign autographs or anything when the show was over. I was really, MAJORLY, bummed when he slipped away SO FAST. I thought for sure I'd get his autograph! I ran outside to try to catch him leaving but he was GONE! Did you get an autograph or anything? And we were standing RIGHT THERE!! I know that's the only time he ever played a small bar like that during those years. He did play other "BARS", but they were set up for musical shows. Much larger venues. Not just a regular 'ole bar like this one had been. I am still just shaking! I cant believe we were there together, all those years ago, and are 'meeting' now! Thank GOD for the NET and social media that makes shit like this possible! How COOL! Well, I think its really amazingly cool anyway. Hope you do too! And I hope you weren't one of the people at that bar that nite who wanted to gag me and throw me in a closet! I just wanted to make sure Stephen saw me and knew I dug him!

Our home away from home was The Porthole. We spent every weekend there. I saw alot of great bands there. I met Rick Allen, The THUNDERGOD from Def Lep there. And Pat Traverse. And guys from White Lion. And Jason Bonham. And I've sung on stage in that bar with The Bobby Friss Band. I know Bobby from Northern Michigan, where he and I are from. And I live back here now. My BFF Laurel's mom lived in Clearwater. So, as you can see, I'm real familiar with that whole area, also. Do you still live there? Man, I am just really geeked to meet you. We have crossed paths, it seems, and I enjoy talking with you. Thank you, my like minded, passionate, CSN and Y loving friend. I, too, want to see them at least one more time. I constantly check ticket outlets and all of their websites looking for any concert info. I know they'll make up with each other because they all 4 know the music they make is more important than anything else. And this election and pandemic shit has got to have them ITCHING to get out there and perform. You keep praying and so will I. You know, Sharky, I have this nutty idea that maybe the reason I'm their most insanely,( think obsessed,) devoted, loving fan since I was 10 yrs old is because maybe, the one thing I was put on earth to do is to get CSN &Y back together. I know it sounds ludicrous, but I've written a letter to Graham, (who I feel is the most rational of the four and most likely to try to reunite them) telling him that they must forgive each other's stupid human mistakes and realize that GOD brought them together, not to become a famous band and make gazillions of dollars, but for a much deeper reason. Their music CHANGED THE WORLD. And we need it to again. They all 4 are BETTER THAN THIS! They know the music is the ALL IMPORTANT THING here. Whaddya think? I thought I'd send a copy to each one. I saw Graham Nash in concert last fall. He was truly fabulous - personable, funny, with tremendous music. He had a single guitarist collaborator who was terrific, too. What a concert, one of my all-time favorites, and I've seen just about everyone I care about.

What a singer and songwriter. Carrie Anne, Bus Stop, Songs for Beginners...even singing the Beatles' Blackbird at the start of the CSNY Wembley Stadium concert in 1974. And he's still got it. One of the best. Wild Tales some book too!

I've read a lot of (maybe 100) rock biographies and Graham Nash's was easily in the top 5 (along with Sammy Hagar, Peter Criss, John Taylor and Andy Taylor, McCartney). Graham tells some great stories about The Beatles, The Hollies, the Everly Brothers, Joni Mitchell, and, of course, CSNY.

A class act. In his book he speaks about meeting the Everly Brothers in Manchester after their show. He and Allan Clark stood in the pouring rain for what he said seemed like hours. Eventually the brothers arrived and took the time to chat with them. Ever since that day he would always take time for a fan requesting an autograph etc. Class act and a great musician

I completely love everything about Neil Young. I've read everything he's ever published, everything ever written about him, recorded every concert, interview, etc. I have every album, cassett, cd, dvd, etc. he's ever done. I say Neil is my ULTIMATE ARTIST. I have a way I ask people who their ultimate hero or idol is. I ask "Who is your Neil Young?" I am writting a book with that same title. The Everly Brothers were Graham's "Neil Young". I've heard him tell this in many places. And yes, he is awesome to his fans. I know from personal experience. He kissed me when I met him 20+ years ago and I said the most unique and clever thing. I grabbed my cheeks and sighed, "I'll never wash my face again!" Dahhhhhh! Oh , crap. But Graham, the ultimate gentleman, replied in his gorgeous British accent, "Oh, but ya haf to, or your 'ol man won't lay with ya!" OMG!! How AWESOME this man is!

Great interview by Stephen Colbert of an absolute rock legend, Graham Nash. I loved how Colbert was watching intently as Graham played "Just a Song Before I Go" and you see this slow familiar smile play across his face right when Graham sings "and through the friendly skies", like it took him to a happy place he's visited many times before. Good stuff... 👍

Verom101002 Maybe you believe Nash looked like George Harrison, but Nash was never a LEAD guitar player. Did you know that Stephen Stills played ALL the music on their first album. Its true, it was Nash that said that in an interview back in the old days.

Mark Ellegood No, not really. But Stills was "the band". He was the best player in the group. Nash said during an interview that after their first album was released that they needed to get musicians to tour because Stills played ALL the music on their first album in the studio. They were most certainly good together. CSN is my all time favorite group.

Graham Nash just seems like the nicest guy--- down to earth, easy to talk with, and no ego that I can see. His voice is beautiful and instantly recognizable. Try to picture CSN as just CS.... I can't :)

I met Graham in 1965. He is an under-appreciated Songwriter, and has always been a delight to be around. There was one occasion when John Lennon and I were discussing songwriting and playing guitars while we were going over a song I had written and he liked. John said to Graham, or asked if he liked the song. Graham looked up and said to me “ it’s a wonderful song does it have a title?” I said “no do you think it needs one.” He looked perplexed, I handed it to John and said, kiddingly, “that’s what he gets paid to do.” Graham without batting an eye said “ that must be why he has to play in a band.” He seemed so deadpan, emotionless as if he wasn’t kidding.” John said to him that part of this was being recorded and we all started laughing and passed more wine around. I guess you had to be there but he was quite funny and very very nice.

All this mid to late 20th century 'rock' and folk music has corrupted society. I wish i could be alive hundreds of years from now when it's long gone and forgotten. Maybe afrobeat or flute or something will outlast it all. When the band stops playing there's still crickets.
