5:00 is adorable. :) I love this whole bit of the interview about how he missed them one time already and wouldn't have a sense of humor about a previously taped perfomance for the show... and of course when he does meet them later. I don't know, I guess I kind of generally assume that famous people can't also be fans of other people, and so there's something endearing about seeing a celeb being a fan..

So many years after the fact, not gonna go on & on failing to do justice to ALLTHETHINGS here - but the staggering unaffectedness of the brothers is mesmerizing, just-a-fanboy David is a perfect complement... I think the sweetness that distinguishes British entertainment shows from even the best of America's comes down to scale. In England, those living the best and worst of lives do so on the relatively common ground of an island about 2.5% the size of the States. Brit comics refer to the accents & cultures of regions and cities within a day's ride of each other . (14hrs tip to tip). Most people in America cannot distinguish between one Southern state accent from another, leave alone one Texan accent from another... LOL... Streaming is the best thing that ever happened to Americans Anglophiles - far beyond Masterpiece, The Doctor, and the Jane Austen Cinematic Universe... For me tho, panel quiz shows - and the comics I've followed from there - have let me into the lives of everyday people whose shared citizenship is impossible in mine.

Why poor? If this happened to me it would've been one of the best days of my entire life. Not only was it actually experiencing actual travel in the Blue Box getting in from one place and ending up in another, but also ending up on Graham Norton's stage and meeting him and the Doctor (TENnant), but on top of that also getting to see The Proclaimers perform 500 Miles live only several meters away. Could it get any better?
