Ron Howard is so well rounded as an individual, a husband, a father, an actor a director etc., etc., etc.

He's so down to earth and a fun guy to listen too. He still has that innocence about him as Opey had I also think that Andy Griffith played a big part in his character as a person.

Every time I hear this man talk, he says something of value. Who would have known little Richie Cunningham would have grown up to be so wise? His parents have a lot to do with that. They were there for him and made sure he was around people that respected children. Yule Brenner was thinkin like a master dad! That's a happy thought.

As an Extra in the movie; "God's and General's," as a Civil War Re-enactor, I learned a lot about the ins and outs of movie making. Spent 20 days on the set near Stanton and saw so much regarding lighting, props, preparation and directing. It was an eventful time of learning and experiencing movie making. Great interview Graham!

They raised their kids away from Hollywood, on purpose. But his daughter became a Hollywood heavy hitter in her own right. And his baby brother Clint? Have so much respect and admiration for this man and his family. Kinda feels part of my family.

To get an idea of how much 11 year old Ronnie was making. On March 30, 1966, famed Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale ended their double holdout by signing new contracts for $130,000 and $105,000, respectively.

I like to imagine him calling Dodgers management at the time: "This is Ron Howard. I am eleven years old, I play Opie on "The Andy Griffith Show" and I am making more money than Sandy Koufax. Now stop screwing around and pay the man"...

I would mistake Ron Howard for my brother any given day at this age they look like they could be twins. I feel bad that he gave up on the place that gave him so much but for his kids and family life, I get it. Sounds like he could be anywhere professionally but his wife runs the family show dynamics. As a native Californian who has lived in multiple states, you couldn't get me to live permanently on the East Coast. Glad it's worked for the Howards.

i grew up watching andy griffith. learning what hollywood-fame does to people. i honestly think hollywood should be forced to follow same laws as all other businesses. children should NOT be allowed to work in the industry under the age of 16 imo. no commercial etc. Disney exploits kids. and if u dig u see just how often kids get sexually abused in the business. disney is one of the worst at it. All for what? entertainment? and ofc money. family needs money cant send the kid to mcdonalds to work. but its ok to send toddler to hollywood and be around drug addicts, pervs etc? because i guess it makes rich people more rich usualy.
