That is a beautiful Scots Pine Graham and to think it was grown from seed is just amazing. I share your belief that any tree of that age over here in old Blighty is something special

I remember the days of watching Graham when it wasn't even 720p on a video it's amazing how the video quality has changed now so nice to see the detail in the process! From Scottish Bonsai

Is there any chance of getting a tour of your nursery for the overseas viewers. I’ve been watching your series since you started but have never seen you show off your nursery.

Great video, but need to turn down the background music a bit, it's hard for us with ear problems to pull the speech out of the combined sound. Thanks for the videos.

Very informative and so much guidance. I have a 4-ish year old sylvestris just at a key stage and this will help me a lot for its future.

You are the first one I've seen, that strikes the pot, in order to settle the soil. ....I do it all the time. Thanks

Hi, Graham. I've been a long-time subscriber-10-plus years now. I started a Scots pine from a 1-year-old whip. It's been in the pot for 10 years now. It's thickening up and flaking bark beautifully. It somewhat resembles this Scots shape and lower branches, but this year it's just exploded with new candles-more than normal! I had to give up my bonsai for a few years after a theft, but I think my pine is ready to be worked on now! I've ordered an oval training pot for it. Do you still have your website for sales and have this soil mix? My pine is in nice peat and horticultural grit from college when I was doing my landscaping course. The Scots pine has loved it, it seems, but now it's time for a big change in its life! I like that it's homegrown, and I'm not sure if I should cut it back or keep it the 3 feet it's become. There are a few possibilities I can see lower down for a nice, thicker, flaky trunk! Great video as always! I'm glad to be back with my trees!

Thank you for a great video Graham, always loved your video's but things slowed up in last eighteen months due to a work injury that left me with a broken back, I am mobile though luckily so looking at some of my tree's at the moment to get my head out of the disarray of not being at work I have a twelve year old Scots pine I grew from seed and it's not far off this size and in a semi cascade style, it just doesn't seem itself this year, I am considering a re pot but the one its in tapers slightly inwards at the top like a sugar bowl 🤦🏻 I'm very interested to know more about the soil type you use as mine are compost and dirt mix with spagnum and grit mixed in, very amateur I know I also have junipers and larches and a twin trunk field maple and ground stock I take air layers from, I would love to show you the tree see what you think, I live in sudbury suffolk and drive still so not that far from you.

Would it kill the tree if you flush out the soil with a small pressure hose?
