Leo Xu WELL, when places in this certain preposition, the Grammar Police don’t necessarily exist, making it an unofficial title when given. If you take a look at the title, the Grammar Police is capitalized, making it a specific department in the police business

@@ezwayocho8296 well, from my perspective, saying "I'm well" or "I am well" just seems so formal and I would never used it in a informal scenario. I would use it when talking to like my boss or superiors. The other two phrases aren't as formal for me and I myself say them too.

@@katiefox8174 I get that. *Because
@kkliarsandidiotseverywhere8394
@kkliarsandidiotseverywhere8394 6 жыл бұрын
Maryann Lawlor Because is a conjunction that means "for the reason of". Cause is a noun meaning "the reason something happened" or a verb meaning "to make happen". The important thing to remember here is that because is a conjunction, which means it is used as a connector between words, and causeis a noun or verb. The word cause is just 'cause (apostrophe + cause), which used to be the contraction of because until the more sensible-looking cuz, coz or cos took over (thankfully). My advice: don't use it -- confusable with the other word cause. So shes correct.

At first I was like, "OMG SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME." But then I realised you were making fun of grammar nazis too. 😢 Edit: Oh wow, this got a lot of replies. Just to clarify, in my case, I have OCD. And it particularly applies to grammar/spelling/punctuation. So when I see/hear someone say/write something incorrectly, it bugs me. I’ve learnt that people can find this extremely annoying, so I try to keep the thoughts in my head. But, for a lot of people, this is either not possible, or it seems like an unnecessary effort. So to those of you saying “We hate you”, “You need to be stopped” or “You’re so annoying”, please think about what you’re saying to people who are just trying to relate to something. Also, to those of you pointing out I made mistakes in my comment, I have tried to fix them so people won’t get annoyed with MY comment. If you still find mistakes in this, it probably means I am unaware of them or do not consider them mistakes (e.g. an Oxford comma).
