Hallo! Good question. We generally use ‘zu’ for celebrations (E.g. at / for Christmas)

I have another question if you could answer, the sentance PLOTZLICH FANGT FLOSSE AN ZU SCHWIMMEN. Why as a sepparable verb anfangen, an isnt at the end of the sentance And is zu even necessary here. I am not a native english speaker , so i appologise for the inconvenience when reading i know it can sometimes be a headache understanding.

Hi! Yes, the ‘zu’ is necessary and it counts as a new clause. The first clause ‘Suddently Flosse starts’ is followed by the second clause ‘to swim’, hence why the separable verb is completed within the first clause. Hope that helps!
