My local small town had a man from out of town come in to exchange change. He stated his grandfather died and he was in charge of the estate. The teller immediately started picking stuff out into a separate pile. The man questioned this. The teller suggested a couple of gold and silver businesses in the nearby larger town. She knew they were all worth more than face value. That’s small town. The gentleman was very happy.

For the $15 on WN, you will still have to pay the shipping and taxes, UNLESS you win a giveaway first, at which point the shipping and taxes become reduced, if not out right free. That free status lasts until the seller has to upgrade your package to the next size, or start a new package completely i believe (stream and seller exclusive as well). I haven't started selling yet, but I'm one of the mouthiest people on there so i hope to see you all there! I would post my own link but without checking with silverpicker first that would be considered especially low class (hint to those of you who hop in to streams to self promote without at least checking first lol). Oh, and you can use the $15 over multiple purchases! Have fun and good luck everyone! 🍀🍀🍀..... Just not as much as me if we come across each other! 😈😈😈😂😂😂

I think the coins were gone through,these were very worn and the half dollars are newer. The paper money was trash also,not worth much. At least you paid face value ,and didn't lose anything.

The bills are worth much more than face value, especially the United States notes. The whole point of this video is that this stuff was effectively free. Not trying to suggest that these are museum quality

I got some silver from my paper route back in the late 60's. I had family and friends save silver they got in change for me into the 70's. My brother worked at grocery store. One woman gave him a silver dollar to pay for her groceries. I bought it from my brother for $5. Wish I would have bought some gold back when it was $40 an ounce.

Sorry but this is just NOT true. I have 2 banks that call me anytime they get a large coin dump from a family etc. I don't hear about every coin or bill that walks through the door, but I get a call anytime it's worth a trip down. You CAN build a relationship with the bank tellers, just just have to do the work. Ive been to every single bank within an hour of me and some even farther. Lots of banks roll their eyes and don't want to deal with me at all. The other half don't mind and a portion of those actually help me in my endeavors. Doing lots of business, asking folks how they are (whether they're helping you directly or not) and even a small gift here or there for your favorite tellers goes a long way. I make a point not to mention coin hunting or collecting until they ask me. By that point... you've usually got yourself a friend. Just keep doing business at your banks and be a good customer theyre happy to see come in the door. If they see some old rolls etc come in... they just might save it for ya. Good luck man!

I’ve had an account for 18 years none of the current employees collect coins/bills, when you order coins they ask for your phone number to call you when they come in, I mostly go into the bank for any transactions, I bring doughnuts or peppermint candy’s once in a while I bring in things I’m looking for and teach them about currency/money I can’t say they call every time but generally they save things and ask me if I want them when I go in that being said I’ve picked up at least 3 collection dumps in the last couple years. You can be lucky too if you start asking your tellers for odd or old stuff, if you are nice to people they will generally be nice to you 🙂
@ratsofatso55252 ай бұрын
17 years ago I asked the teller of my bank if they had any fifty cent pieces. " Oh, a customer just traded in a box full." Turned out to be 13 bucks face. 2 or 3 40%, 3 clad, the rest (16 or 17) were 90% Kennedys. Never happened again. I can dream.
