Part three of the series where I swap the old broken frame on my Willys CJ2A, Grampa’s Jeep, and replace it with a good used M38 frame.

Fiber gear I new it was something. Are you going to check the bearings while it is out now is a good time if they are a little loose Jeep made 1under bearings if one could still get them. That oil hole as you say will help. Looking good. Paul

Looks good. I would guess in the spirit of Granpa's Jeep that flywheel should cut and go back to work as-is 👍😁.

i never heard of this being a problem...i will be checking mine next time i have the front cover off...actually i never even knew what that part was for.

That flywheel looks like it did some hard work for you. You got your moneys worth out of that one.

That looks like a lot of work Stan. After three years I finally got my old cj5 on the road again. Rebuild the 232 straight 6, the transmission and transfer case. She runs good. Looks like you're going to get Grandpas jeep fit for the trail again. Happy wrenching. 😊

Did you change anything to the oil pan or pickup to compensate for the extreme angles you guys are running at?

The stock oil pick up in the L134 Go Devil engine is floating, so it handles steep angles pretty well. No changes required. I have added extra armor to the oil pan.
