Choose the right tarp: Use a heavy-duty, waterproof tarp sized appropriately for your boat.
Create a framework: Use boat stands, a boat cover support system, or even strategically placed lumber to create a peaked frame. This prevents water from pooling.
Drape the tarp: Center the tarp over the boat, ensuring it extends well beyond the hull on all sides.
Secure the tarp: Use rope, bungee cords, or tarp clips to fasten the tarp to the trailer, boat stands, or other secure points. Ensure even tension to prevent flapping in the wind.
Reinforce stress points: Use extra padding or reinforcement patches at corners and areas where the tarp rubs against the boat.
Check regularly: Periodically inspect the tarp for tears or loose fastenings, especially after storms.
Proper tarping keeps your boat dry and protected, extending its lifespan.

I'm a relatively new subscriber but have found all your vids viewed so far to be excellent, to the point, descriptive and understandable. Thanks for posting and carry on.

Thank you. I try to assist the boater, who like me is a poor man in a rich man's sport. I've been watching KZbin videos for years and notice often the poster really doesn't offer any practical information, just opinion. Cheers, Allan

Well done neighbor to the North! I noticed boat A had some ventilation up front. I am curious since it faced up we’re you not concerned about snow getting in?

Snow? Thanks to global warming we don't get that much in Toronto. The boat is right down next to Lake Ontario which also warms the air a bit. I really haven't had issues. Cheers! Allan
