Holy crap! These things are absolute hell fire thrash beasts. They sound phenomenal with that ZF whines from 2nd to 3rd. Definitely refer this to the B9 chassis

Indeed This and 38217 are the best of the batch. That said 38223's Axles might just make it one of the best too!!. Another video of 38223 should be out soon!!!

This seems much quicker than the ones in Hong Kong and rev higher, I think the HK ones have their gearbox tuned for fuel savings afterwards so that's probably why

The Enviro400's actually use the same chassis (Trident) it's just configured different. E400's have the Trident2 variant (2 axle) while the E500s have the Trident3 variant (3 axle). The E500's however of course have a much bigger engine with a far higher power output. In modern times not much beats these when it comes to sheer "Growls and force".

Hello I'm from Hong Kong. Enviro 500 with air cons and ISLe engine, it sounds familiar to our NWFB 55xx class. Are these buses supposed to be for the far East, but for some reason remained at the UK?

No, This batch were custom built for the UK to a UK specification.

These are really nice buses and i think London should have bought 600 of these instead of the NRM's because not only are these buses nicer looking for design, they are better for carrying more passengers and the Routes 9,10 etc would benefit from them better. Although I am going to be honest. I am biased towards Alexanders because they made my all time favourite bus design that is the Y-Type.

I think so too! London's roads are actually suitable for longer buses, drivers just need training. 12m buses aren't that much of a hassle..

@@kv.voyage I agree because these E500's are only 70cm longer than the NRM buses that are 11.3M in length. Although they could get the facelifted version that has superceeded this bus type. TFL only needs to add WiFi, and USB ports for charging and these are good to go.

Depends on conditions but they get around 6 which isn't that bad. Prior to the Air-Con being deactivated they only got around 4 though!
