This tutorial is meant for people who have already done some work in this field. I wish someone could just give us a completely beginner focused tutorial using this program. Adding yourself and a sibling for starters.

Dear Richard, just a note of thanks for posting this. I like your methodology and starting with repositories, sources and citations and structuring places properly. If you just jump in and create people you end up with a mess so seeing the structure properly helps tremendously. I also like your method of a mini website on your mobile device. Great idea. Again, thanks for the effort, it is really appreciated.

Do we have to begin with repository and all that ? I've not used Gramps before and at the moment just need to know how to begin a tree - how to start adding people ??

I would really like to include the birthplaces and deathplaces on my printed family tree. I know it would make a larger graph but I have access to plotter. Also, my family tree goes back 19 generations (to the early 1400's) but it looks like Gramps will only allow 15 generations in a printed report. Any help would appreciated; if Gramps won't allow this do you know of a different program that might??? Thanks, I really appreciate your videos and help.
