Actually it really doesn't look that great in completely stock form with light green paint, whitewall tires, and wheel covers. The '72 Torino on the other hand was downright gorgeous. They did a great job making the Starsky and Hutch car look so good with such minor modifications. Kind of sad to know that Paul hated that car.

Ese auto en Venezuelase llamo Ford Fairlane 500 . V8 351 . El torino no trae ventanita lateral el Fairlane si. Recuerdo esos tiempos cuando estudie en ese inolvidable pais que me recivio cuando nino. Hasta los autos como el Nova y otros los pintaban asi. Una moda loca. I remeber that car in Venezuela was called For Farilane 500 . V8 351 lovely car.

There can’t be that many of these cool cars left in the world today? There was only 1000 units originally built by Ford. Hollywood has crashed many.There sure as hell ain’t many of these cars here in Australia. Shame really. Love them.

@@gregraymond428 Yes as SD Stated about 1300 originally made in only 3 colors but All had WHITE STRIPE TOO... Red, Blue & Green. Not all were Red. Clones were later made too. Note True originals had ordinary Square door mirrors not red racing mirrors

They could at least CAREFUL enough to get the stripe's curves right! How many of those car have power windows? I love Starsky's Gran Torino. If a copy is made, make it right.

never really thought of the gran torino as a classic. could have had better treatment. kind of boring - red & white with limited graphics. didn't seem to be promoted that much then. show was about it.
