What’s wrong with the sky at 0:50 on the right screen? Looks like the texture file ordering isn’t correct for the sky.

Thanks for the help. Works perfectly with the spec 2 mod that uses a later build of the game. Looks like that skybox texture mismatch glitch may have been fixed in the 3.0 release because I haven't seen it yet. Only visual hiccup I see persisting is the underside detail sometimes shows up with a strip of red on some cars which kinda looks like the cars have a painted custom rollbar which in terms of happy accidents is a pretty good one

Just completed the game in 4k on pcsx2 with new textures. Used to be my favourite game when I had my PS2 slim

I play it at 8k (yeah lol, somehow run perfectly) and those textures with the photo mode is crazy, beautiful shit man!

The UI CAN be upgraded to a higher resolution, you just need to install a different texture pack (Silentwarior1's User Interface ) on top of the Retexture mod

2k. I play at 4k. And I installed all the new textures. Honestly, I can’t even tell the difference😂 it looks fantastic just at 4k.

@@paddy4dr Nope, sorry! I hold my hands up 😂 it’s working now. Copy the games serial number, create a new folder and name it that serial number. Then drag the replacements folder in there. Done!

I've got an i5 10400f with an rtx 2060 and I can run the game in 4k 60fps no issues at all so you don't need a monster pc to run it in 4k. One thing though was I had to set the TV screen settings in the actual game to 480p otherwise I had horrible ghosting, took me forever to figure that one out. I think there's a hack you can apply that will set this for you every time the game runs.

The game looks better in 1080p anyway. You can still upscale it to 4k and force the emulator to render in 1080p and it will look amazing and waste less resources. Also, a 2060 rig, while not being super expensive is definitely not the most budget yet...

CB Kilgore I loaded the textures, but when i started the game, they are some major glitches when playing. How do I know if the textures are loading in the game properly, when I play the game?

For some reason this crashed on my newer PC after I won a tournament, I got a black screen when I should have gotten the car prize. I tried using my old I7-3770 and it worked without flaws for hours.

So I've set up everything and I was interested in installing the texture pack, but under the "Texture Replacement" section there is no directory and no way to select one. That entire "search directory" box just does not exist for me. Anything I can do? I have created a textures folder already by clicking the dump thingy and I've downloaded the textures and put them in there. Just not sure how to apply them. Would be super grateful for any pointers

In case you're still having trouble: You can definitely create the folder structure manually, the texture dumping thing is only meant for automating that process; In the same menu where you did that on your emulator, tick the option that says "load textures"; Finally make sure that your emulator is reading the correct folder, so there should be a tab for folders, make sure the folder for textures is the same one where you saved the new textures. That's all.

@@kemalozturk6298 if there isn't one you can create it yourself. Follow the instructions on this video, only if you don't know how to automatically create the folders using the emulator then you create the folders like he says in the video. It's very simple really and you should be able to get it working by following the instructions. Just to be safe though, you might want to search KZbin for: 'gran turismo 4 HD texture mod' This is because I think other people made better guides that are simpler to understand.
