I forgot to mention in the description that I set the top speed setting to 420, but 430 and 440 give a faster top speed, although mid corner power is sacrificed. 385km/h is about as fast as I traveled during this lap.

@TopsuLoL Yep the DFP certainly has the wobble effect, but I just had to put up with it, as you said If you wimp out and reduce the feedback your lap times will suffer, trick is to not really fight it, just let it wobble.

Excellent lap. Anyone claiming it to be fake, its just the poor video quality that makes it looks like its sped up. This car is really that fast and he is really that good a driver. I only manage 5:20ish with that car, 4:40 is amazing.

the only thing i don't like about the 24 hour races is that you can't back out , then come back some other time , sure you can use b - spec but that 's not the same as you racing. i have 2001 le mans game ( red dodge w two white racing stripes over the top ) on the cover, when you enter pit lane a save window pops up so you can save where you are at in the race, leave come back later .

With the DS2, at 2:28 you cannot take that corner at full throttle at 272km/h, but with a steering wheel, you have more control with the steering of the car, you can thread the needle so to speak, using full throttle, requires extreme commitment as the slightest hesitation, or missige of the apex will result in a failure.

I have tried it, although it's not as fast as the Minolta so i quickly lost the enthusiasm to drive it. The C9 does have a top speed advantage but it lacks gears (only 5) and cornering performance.

i'm racing in the extreme gt championship ( f1 )gt4 using the toyota minolta. my problem at the RING is high speed instability at :45 - :51 sec. :57 1:04 and 2:21 + , it's like it is darting left /right and i'm using a game contoller . my time is 6: 16 , any suggestions.

It's 99% NOT cheating, blindsnakesundae. You can increase the horse power, lower the weight and take better tires in Arcade Mode (quick tuning). That makes the "Arcade Mode Minolta" MUCH faster than the same car fully tuned in GT Mode. Plus you could read out the Memory Card data to prove it's a legal time.

I drove 5:04 witout quick tuning and and fuckin' dualshock 2 :D Can u tell me why u always go on half-gas while u are breakin' ? are u keepin' the car more stabil whit that? or is it better for acceleration out of the turns? I will try it!!! but I'm not shure if can ever beat a 4:40..... 5:04.....that was the golden time....now I'm old and I sattled down.... XD

Im so confused. I've won this car in both gt4 and gt5 and both times ive driven it the thing is an absolute BRICK! I cant for the life of me figure out how to drive this thing to one TENTH of the speeds you do in this video..... Im no newbie either, having owned every gt since 2. The thing wont let me put power down, and the suspension is bollocks, just sort of seems to float around. I'd be interested to see what you setup is if you could help me out?

I also forgot to mention that there is another way to drive low 4'40's, high 4'39's, by cheating, using game shark codes that allow you to alter the gear ratios in arcade, some idiot tried to convince me of his 4'39 time as legitimate, but clearly it was a fake as the time was littered with large obvious mistakes, I know you don't mean me Paddy cars;) Cheers mate

i have it for the ps2, but now i use the NISSAN R 92 CP , it's a freakin' dream even with some slight mistakes my best time is5 .51. 998 , so given the mistakes probably would have been about 4.5 seconds faster,,tires h/sh, st4turbo,tcm 4, 4 ,3brakes 8 ,9 , springs 13,8 , ride height 90 ,shocks f 2 ,3 -r 8 ,8 caster 1.8 1.6 toe -1 -1 dampers 6 ,6 , trans 10 , 40 ,20 ,, weight , 0 , -5 , ifineon , motegi road and the ring use to be my weak races , not anymore , the F1'S won't feel a thng

The Toyota Minolta 88C-V race car is a blue and white race car from GT4. You can get it from winning El Captian Endurance Race 200 Miles. It has 798hp without tuning, but you can tune it to 1223hp. It is also one of the most popular cars in Gran Turismo 4 for it's massive speed and slender look. A good all-round vehicle with tremendous acceleration as well as it's excellent brakes. Many players tend to use this in most professional races.
