I love it how all five seeds give either a really good LMP or the Formula GT from B license Also, with how the Escudo now has way more grip in Spec II, it's sad that WageInsights has no easy Formula GT drop (if it even has any available) since that would make it arguably the best out of the five

Yeah, the lack of Formula GT for WagesInsights is definitely a big blow for a prize car-only run. At least it's buyable in the used lot every now and again for a casual playthrough, or you can disable the randomizer temporarily to get it from mission 35-40 or Nurburgring 24hr (it gets a Lupo 1.4 from the latter, so yeah).

A "bad" seed will usually have at least one good prize car somewhere, since there's around 200 ways to win a prize car in GT4 and statistically one of them is likely to have a race car. Generally it'll be a seed with a lot of unusable cars like you say though, like the Patent Motor Wagen, Daimler Motor Carriage, Caterham Seven, Auto Union, Chrysler Prowler etc. One of the worst seeds I found was "DeltidiumAnthropomantic"; it gets a Peugeot 905 from B silvers and a Sauber C9 from Ice Arena Hard, but it is otherwise quite deprived of high-end cars and doesn't get a Formula GT anywhere. It can still progress pretty far into the game before running out of one-makes though. I'd have to try and change the script to see what names are missing the most cars needed for 100% completion.

Interesting that it generated names that sound like... actual usernames instead of just random code spew (which is what I would have expected from a script of this nature). It's like a real cheat code! I wonder if IDFKA or pennyThug would generate something worthy of finding those last few cars for 100%. That would probably require the planets aligning or something.

The main analyzer script itself doesn't generate usernames, only analyze them. Both TeaKanji and I supplied our own (or generated our own) lists of usernames separately that we fed into the analyzer, with one of TeaKanji's input sets being "two dictionary words put together". Sadly, IDKFA (and the other '93 Doom cheat codes) and pennyThug don't generate 100%-able candidate seeds, and yeah, the probability of any given seed being a 100%-able seed does basically require the planets aligning.

I think it would be really nice if we could have a few seeds that gave four types of cars from the license tests: • A truck. • A boxer engine car. • A wagon. • A Formula 1 car. Those four cars tend to be the most difficult to get for a full playthrough, sometimes taking over 50 hours to appear. Having them from the start would make 'prize car only randomizer runs' a lot more fun. 😎👍

I ran both "Dreadwuggles" and "Wuggles" through. "Wuggles" has a decent start with Spider & Roadster, Sports Truck Race, and Clubman Cup giving the Altezza Touring Car, the GT-One Race Car, and a Tom's Supra (JGTC) respectively. Getting Bronze on the B License also gives you a Pescarolo Race Car. Sadly, neither name will reward you with the Formula GT. However, the most interesting thing with "Wuggles" is that winning the Race of Red Emblem happens to give you the normal reward for the event, being the NISMO GT-R LM Road Going Version '95.

I was looking through real life names and one of my faves is Rory so I tried it and here’s what I found: C west razo Silvia for all silver on B license, Mitsubishi Pajero rally raid car for Sunday cup, Nissan Motul pit work Z for lightweight cup, and the Peugeot 905 for 4WD challenge! The rest of the license prizes aren’t very good though.

Absolutely love the Dichotomy of getting broken cars in the beginning licenses & events, then getting really slow, much worse cars with endgame events & licenses (especially the race cars for IB licenses & lower vs alpines, S2000's, etc for S license) that's what a real broken randomizer seed is Also, what does "MilwaukeeMyself" mean?

The improved keyboard for name entry added in Spec II does support some symbols, though it overall only supports latin letters, numbers, and some basic punctuation marks. The function "charset" in lib/S2RA/Bruteforce.hs shows what symbols are available. Every different character in a username does contribute to the randomness, so using punctuation may not improve luck, but it certainly will at least change what prizes are awarded. Good call with using other languages (that use latin letters) though, that'll provide a nice set of extra inputs to test with! :)

So that last name does give me an idea...how possible is it to game the randomizer to get a specific subset of cars? JGTC cars in the last example, rally cars, etc.

The way it works currently is that every car has a weight value based on stats like weight, grip, downforce, tyre dimensions etc., which the JGTC's excel at, hence why they appear often in these "strong" seeds. You could make a separate set of weights where everything except JGTC's or rally cars has a weight of 0 and compare seeds based on how many they have. My own scripts are based on an early version of Azullia's work, there is probably a tidy way to do this with their most recent version.

Going off of @Tea_Vault 's reply, it will likely be simplest to modify the combined car list to just set all of the cars you don't want to have 0 viability (the third value / after the second pipe). If you ever need to regenerate the combined car list, the generate combined list scripts will do that assuming nothing under the Data folder has been modified.

Yeah, the prizes are fixed per-name and won't change if you re-do the event. What's your in-game name? I can tell you which event had the car you're looking for.

I've been running with seed "Utaha Kasumigaoka" (points for recognizing where that name comes from) and so far I have - the RS200 Rally Car from Sunday Cup - the Formula GT (!) from Four Cylinder Shootout - the Minolta from Japanese Compact - the Loctite Zexel R34 from the Isuzu one-make event - the SLR McLaren from Clubman Cup - the Nissan 240RS Rally Car from the Copen Race of all things (there have been *a lot* of repeats, though - I even got two Loctite GT-Rs) Also, where does the music in the name entry scenes come from?

That's a great start, getting the Formula GT early on is really exciting. I can tell you what your seed is missing for 100% completion if you want, or you can try pushing the limits of the seed for yourself. It might save you from going down a wild goose chase down the line... The music is River of Samsara from Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga.

An automated process continuously asking the username analyzer program to test a name, check its "viability" based on the cars received, compare it to the best name before, and showing every time a new best is found (or to collect a couple of the best values). As for the names fed in, we both basically formed different strategies. TeaKanji's biggest dataset was putting together two dictionary words, and I was going through both "every possible username typeable with Spec II's name entry keyboard (of 5 characters and less, currently)" and "a username but you change the capitalization of every letter of the alphabet in it".
