the worst rated GT game of all time
@rotor132 жыл бұрын
@@amamsurri5454 The rating itself came only because of basically 1 thing that PD has already fixed: Very little race payouts that were theorized to push people to buy into MTX; were fixed with adding a new series of races which makes the payouts more inline with previous games. Its now common to average about 1.5million credits per hour. And with some farming tools using RemotePlay - one can farm over 100million credits within a week. The game being unplayable while the servers are down are still an issue, but PD has set the maintenance schedule so that it has less impact on players on any given time of day in their respective regions.

@アマ-p2l2 жыл бұрын
No. People like Ralph Lauren buying cars to display them during fashion shows should have to pay fines and taxes for doing that. Buying a car to put it in a museum is one thing, if you keep it running that's perfectly fine. However if it's art you're after, buy a clay model or F off, car designs are 100% art especially the ones which weren't limited by safety regulations and aerodynamic requirements, but the actual vehicles are pieces of engineering, you don't put a boat engine in your living room but a Ferrari engine has somehow become glamorous enough to be a piece of furniture, that's just stupid.

I don't wanna be "the sim guy", and I love the video, but GT doesn't do this car justice. I drove 2 hours of 60's Spa Francorchamps in Assetto Corsa in a 917-K (competitively), and had a suspension failure in the 3rd lap, which meant that my wheel was pointing at 10 o'clock when I was going straight. Note that this car is extremely difficult to drive, even in normal circumstances. I have never felt such an adrenaline rush-even in fistfights. Fully focused on consistency, overtake after overtake, I managed to finish in P6. It was a feeling I will never forget. My hands were shaking like mad, and to have taken this injured horse to the finish line felt very real and personal. Been an absolute fan of old Porsches ever since. Thank God for technology, Kunos, the AC modding community, and my rivals for this (sur)real experience.

Here is one crazy fact... The 917k did not use a rear differential!! Basically the two rear shafts were splined together, hence the two rear wheels turned in unison. On paper this crude solution should never have worked, but it did very well!!! I'm guessing the designers must have set the rear suspension really stiff so that, in a turn, the car nearly has all the weight taken off the inner rear wheel; so, even though it was forced to scrub it made little difference. Of course this could only have worked because it was a serious race-car that would certainly be pushed hard through all the turns with the correspondingly large degree of sideways weight shift. In the US this is a common (though highly illegal) "red-neck" mod. where the two rear wheel-shafts are simply welded together inside the differential. On high torque big-engined cars it improves traction and straight line stability in a drag race but makes the car extremely dangerous in a turn as the rear wheels are forced to scrub (aka bark) causing the rear-end to slide out in spectacular fashion.
