For rolling starts if you want them to be as fun as standing starts... They need to disable auto drive. Everyone starting at the same time removes the human factor so everyone just forms into a single file and clutters at the T1. What needs to happen is we start from stand in everyone in their respected position, safety car when its given green we slowly start and follow the safety car. Just like in iracing or in real life you can't overtake the guy in front and you can't hog for everyone else as you'll be disqualified. So we all slowly follow the safety car and during that time we can weave left right hard accel/deccel to warm up the tires in our respected position, and as we approach the start line on the straight it's where the fun starts. We all get jumpy and nervous trying to be as close to the rear of the one in front but we can't until it's green. So suddenly you get instead of a single file you get massive jumps for the positions (as some will not hit the acceleration at the right time might have to hard brake in order to not be penalized by entering the position of the one in front, some will perfectly hit acceleration and get jump start...) and the chaos starts as we all hurdle towards T1. Now THAT'S the rolling start I want to experience. But since gran turismo is NOT in fact full on sim but rather as I call it "accessible" sim, meaning such things are cut off (just like pit entry or auto drive rolling) there can also be alternative, we load up already rolling at the middle of the map, we all get count down from 3 as the safety car is in front and thus we skip the first half of rolling start. We are still following the safety car trying to warm our tyres and the same hectic chaos occurs at the start line as we approach it (am not gonna type the same sh*t twice ). Either of the two I would be more then satisfied with for the rolling start. Would make for much more realistic starts when you want to record to a friend " look how good the game is " with rolling start instead of hearing annoying auto drive jerking that accel / braking as it fails to bloody match the damn speed and just looks funny / sounds ridiculous as well.

4:14 yes penalties like that shouldn’t exist, it’s not like you gained any time either. PD has some serious penalty issues.

Penalty system is awful. I was racing at Suzuka coming into the last chicane before the start finish line when a car demolished me from behind. I slammed into the barrier, front tyres / bumper and engine damage. He got away with it, I got a 0.5s penalty for exceeding the track limits...... Yeah sorry I couldn't stay on the track when someone hit me at 100mph+ from behind!

Yeah its the worst ever to get track penaly when got pushed out. Also, and even worse is when you get rear ended… and then you get bumped into the car in front what causes him/her to skid off the track… and you get 3secs or even 5secs penaly to cause an accident… that really gets me xxxx boiling!
