There seems to be an art developed in which one can abuse other racers with impunity. This style of driving is present in more races than not. I always have to be prepared for a bashing whenever I'm around other drivers.

The thing is that without sr or dr on these races they use it to test how far they can go and use it on daily B and C.

@@BrunoVentura524 I spend most my time in Daily B and it seems really random. I might spend all night with clean racing then get bumped to a different group where everything goes to hell. No matter if its Bs or C s or Ds, all of a sudden we are playing GTA. I will try to fight them off but sometimes I'll just let them go by so I can stay on the track. Nothing you can do about the divebombers, pitt maneuvers, and sideswipers tho. All you can do is try to stay out front.

Yes Gt7 penalty system is totally broken. Rubbing is part of racing, I totally understand that sometimes we will be "Touching, Bumping" because it happens. But these "Punters" and "Sides wipers" need to have something done to them. It is getting ridiculous in all of the races not just Daily A. Race A just seems to be the worst of them all.

Some elements of the system work OK- not getting a penalty for track limits when you are forced to cut the corner but getting a penalty for being punted in to another car is ridiculous

I still think there needs to be a "Cooldown" or Black Flag after so much contact. Ya know act a fool, pick up Black Flag levels of Pen/Contact: Can't immediately join room for 30min, and you do it again it locks out Sport Mode for the day. But Polyphony Digital, might actually be the the most incompetent crew when it comes to following a thought through. Especially in Rank-Up (levels) +/- that is just far too off.

I know very little of programming so if this idea is totally unfeasible, that's why, but could they create a penalty condition where if a car hits the back fender with their front fender and then pass within 3 seconds it's a 5 second penalty? Also, how is there not a penalty for hard collisions in braking zones?

Thank you for highlighting the fact that this type of driving is leaking into the other dailies. I basically got forced into a Dr reset due to dirty drivers andy own frustration from it. Went from an A to a D 😢. I don't even do dailies anymore till they fix this.

Side bashing isn’t penalised either. I’ve been rammed so many times this way and it can ruin your race if it means you end up off the track. It can end up that you drive in anticipation of being rammed rather than just enjoying the race.

The first race that I was involved in was the worst race I've been in for a long while. That black subaru forced me off track twice and no penalty. There definitely needs to be SR because it was a complete mess.

I See this everywhere. Not in this magnitut, but todays Race B was Chaos. 4 laps is to short, but one car hit my rear and I went off. Last week's Race C was good on monday. On thursday I could went on again and got hit in nearly every Corner. They go in all spaces, push you aside. I never did so many ragequits. I drive more F123 these days and I once thought, that was the unfair one. It's sad actually.

I’m back playing GT after a long time away and am currently a C/S level driver…..I’ve done a lot of daily race B this week and the lack of penalties is a joke and the quality of driving is horrendous!! Accidents happen, outbreak yourself etc etc, but blatant punting off is awful.

Here's the deal, what goes around comes around... But some if not many get hurt in the process. The only way forward is promoting the positive. It's not the game enticing 1/2 the field to dive into the first corner, nor PD/PS or anyone but "us" the drivers to make it a better habitat. It also works the other way, a little patience and giving the driver ahead some track space to get confident you're not going to clip him comes first. Fortunately, I lived on the ASIAN hosts and the Japanese are some of the cleanest drivers out there, and even they have a few odd ones too. Aussie are horrible, I'm one, but among us there are some top class and courteous drivers, one's you get to know by letting past while they're making their comebacks. If he's behind on your tail, longer than a lap, consider he's being polite and let him by, you'll only go faster. Positive encouragement, clean driving usually ends up in happy racing, but there's always the one. And you're right you have to control yourself too, that's the toughest ask, but every now and then, you take one for the team and keep them pre-occupied and one the rare occasion you've really had enough, you give him a little of his own medicine, shut down and go outside and get some fresh air! The other tip for clean racing, wake up before DAWN and race the older racers and allniters hell bent on getting a clean round or two to calm the nerves before they get some ZZz...

The driving has become more dirty in the last couple of weeks, but what do you think of this as a system: A select group of people(must be active and keep DR\SR at a certain level) gets access to an Overwatch system. This works like this: players can report people if they do this deliberate and do dirty driving. When the incident comes to overwatch, you then watch through the incidents, and give your desicion if this was deliberate or a race incident. If this was deliberate you can then DQ the person from the race, and the victim(s) if they loose DR\SR due to this, it will then be restored to what the DR\SR was at the start of the race. If the person gets 3 strikes within a certain period OR the infringement is deliberate without any doubt, the person gets a suspension from Daily races\Other PD tournaments, and if its a continuous behavior, their DR\SR will be set to E\E and locked there until they have X amount of clean races or after a certain period of time, and then they have to get it up again. And if there is someone like KIMI, you can just instantly lock his DR\SR to E\E and let him stay at the bottom where he belongs. I do believe a system like this would be benefitial for everyone, and CS:GO has the same system against cheaters, so its a prooven system that works. The access would have to be given to people that has had a stable HIGH DR\SR over a long amount of time, and the account is active(like atleast 3-5 times a week, with atleast a certain amount of hours). Any thoughts?

I've noticed you never see any penalties for side contact into the apex of corner. The diving or sending into the inside is very very popular even in A and A+ and PD is to blame. When the last GTWS champion (Lopez) wins the title with a massive dive and multiple contacts and gets away with it what kind of example are they giving.

During Olympic race in Singapore there was a moment like that and José Serrano had a lot of "dirty" moments, even GT World top drivers are humans and have their "dirty moments"

I always just take the inside line when defending. It may be slower but if you get good at late braking and then trail braking you can stay a few degrees ahead of any punt attempts.

Penalty system needs to be improved, for sure. You only get a penalty for bashing or punting other cars if you take them out of the track. If you just make them go off the racing line, but they stay on the track, there's no penalty. I agree that SR should always be ON. It's good to have a race A with no DR, so you can take it easy and not feel the pressure to perform at your top (many people are that competitive), but SR should be left on so people race caring about being clean, but not about winning races.

The thing is, I don't know if they can turn SR on without DR being on. Because a low SR could result in a DR reset. I think it's either none or both. So Race A is always going to be a free-for-all. I wonder if they could offer two versions of Race A, one with DR/SR on, one with them off. They might not have enough drivers for that though.

I am not sure it is down to the SR rating being turned off, as even in race B&C it is getting ridiculous. Last two races I did on race B today I ended up getting punted or pushed off track with the culrpit getting no penalty. :Last week was a nightmare as well. No penalties being given out for forcing people off track, but plenty given out for cutting the corner by a 1 or 2mm. The track limits penalties are often a joke, being way too harsh, but heavy contact is barely punished, and sometimes the party being hit is the one that gets the penalty for some reason.

Had a race tonight in Gr4, was 2nd in the last lap, got absolutely punted out of a corner into the barrier, I got a lovely 1.5 sec penalty, he got no penalty, I finished 13th..needless to say I ended the night there, really frustrating.

How annoying that the Idiot in the black car messages before the race "Let's have a clean race". It's not just race A where these cheaters prevail as the penalty system is so bad that it has leaked into all races in sports mode imo. I am not saying it must be easy to fix either as there are so many racing incidents that need watching a few times to really see who is at fault, so my feeling is that we should be able to potentially vote/report the really bad racers somehow as it is completely ruining sports mode. The weaving/blocking on the straights I have never seen anyone ever penalised for and yet in the "sportsmanship video" it is clearly stated it is not permitted. Such a shame as when you do get the races that with a clean lobby, the races are amazing and worth waiting for.

Surely it isn't difficult to code something along the lines of, if car A gets hit by another car hard enough to cause damage, and that car then either goes off track or loses a position or more, then the offending car gets a penalty. That solves getting punted, door banging and puah to pass is a bit trickier though

This is, without reservation, killing the game and the amazing communities built around it. Leagues could be fun, but with how awful the penalty and SR system is in daily races, there's no chance for a clean and exciting race in these modes. I basically log in for 20 minutes a week to hit gold TT and log off, unless there's a circuit I REALLY want to race on. I've experienced this awful race-craft at every DR from D to A. It gets worse the higher up the ranks, because skilled drivers more often know what they can get away with to gain places.

I've stopped doing daily races all the way back in Sport because of dirty drivers. I only really attempted the FIA cups since the sportsmanship was far more fair among the drivers. Honestly, having to deal with this sort of behavior from S rated drivers is just way too frustrating. It's such a shame.

They, PD, really needs to make the penalty system more harsh. Even though I know they won't, or if they make it more strict people like the black subaru will complain about it until they change it back for them to get away with dirty driving. If contact penalties were more harsh, people would actually leave space and not ram-to-pass. Unfortunately, PD listens to the whiners mire than the racers.

I hate it When Someone Come way faster from the Back and the driver in Front Blocks him so hart and dont let him pass, thats Not how Racing Works. I think bringing back GT Sport's penalty system isn't a bad idea: Sure it will be often dissapointing but if you're gonna get a 0.5s penalty for ANY contact that will then sepparate the dirty drivers from those who actually want clean racing because after all motorsport is an NON-contact sport

Penalty system is very inconsistent, sometimes too strict, sometimes doesn't even detect basic cases. I could say that it's OK for Daily A to be without DR/SR, but then the penalties should be stricter. For example, you made a mistake and punt someone, your DR/SR won't be affected, but you should get 10 sec penalty. That way people will learn to avoid contacts and still enjoy some non-ranked racing in Daily A. But the base of it all is a working penalty system, which is currently pure s*it.

Race A with no DR/SR is a training race for some drivers to see what they can get away with in races B and C. DR/SR consequences need to come back to race A. This week's A is even worse than Fuji.

Worst decision ever to take off the DR and SR for race A. Throughout gtsport days I did mainly race A. Since this came in I tend to avoid race a. Tend to do Race C these days. In a way its been good that I do race C as I've improved as a racer

What PD should do is open up daily A to the SR ranking system only and bring in a post race report feature. Also, they should create a new SR rank, (rank F). Then, if a racer gets X amount of reports over 10 or so races, they instantly get demoted to SR F, (which they could make difficult to get out of) and get to slum it with like minded dirty trash bags. 🤷‍♂

I don’t mind the DR being off, because in a lobby with the right people that can almost turn it into a fun track day vibe with nothing to loose. And when PD decides to to the really crazy combos such as GrB at Catalunya Rally Cross layout, it makes sense to turn everything off, but in general we NEED to have SR back on in Race A! It makes no sense to effectively promote ridiculously dirty driving in sport mode in my opinion 😉👍

I think they need to emphasize grouping people by SR and not so much DR. I'd be fine with some one who's A+ DR smoking me by seconds (currently rated C for DR myself) if it meant that the whole lobby was trying to be respectful to each other on the track.

This is not gonna be fixed because the only way for now to get it fixed will be if huge amount of people stop playing the sport mode and/or the game at all. If PD lose the people due to this trash penalty system, they will be "ok, it is time to fix that shet". Otherwise.. why should they do that? People are playing, streaming, making money.. others are happy cause they can drive&crash without any consequences.. and all is good. So yeah.. as everything in this world, it is in our hands to have something changed.

for me personally, i kind of like the idea of a sort of "Free for all race" with no rating consequences. It has given me some of the funniest and best races, granted i do enjoy the cleaner races better like daily B and C but still find A enjoyable with no rating penalties

I feel like a lot of the dirtiness is people not used to the more technical requirements like early braking, slippery tires and transferring weight. Typically if you place within the top 100 or 200 fastest The group of two or three that will be in the front with you will be the best racing you will experience on the game while the rest of the field is in destruction Derby😅

Another factor in Daily A though is it always seems to be road cars with garbage handling. Braking points and turning are very different than group 3 and 4 cars. Yes, there’s certainly less courtesy also, but the cars themselves are also a factor.

I think a lot of the time, people just don't know the cars/tracks. I know I've gone to do a race and have totally failed to brake for things because I just had no idea what was coming up or the braking distances/handling of the cars. Sometimes you can't help ploughing across the track at the first corner.... although usually it ghosts the player and they can just run off through everyone. Maybe that's why it doesn't give penalties to the big swipes... its not malicious, it just honest mistakes.
