I’ve done pretty much the same with a Dodge Viper (video clips available from my KZbin profile) and I suspect this Corvette tune can still be improved a lot by trying to minimize that rear toe angle, increasing rear height ride and increasing the antiroll bars, if all possible.

For those of you looking for something more "driveable", use the DP-100 VGT detuned including SH tires - it's as fast as 25 min 44 secs. No pit, early shifts @ 6,900 RPM at max power (1) on fuel map. Not as fast as this C7 ZR1, though - thanks naffantait!

I actually found this very drivable, but you need to "learn" how to drive it. If you treat it like a monster without much grip and continually feather the throttle to control how fast you're going, its actually very predictable. It does not respond well to jumps and flooring it unless you're in the downhill straight.

@@nairdajun Yeah, I'm a seasoned GT driver. I can put in a 25 min Tokyo run every time with this Corvette tune. I just short shift around 6k RPMs which helps with traction, tire wear, and fuel consumption.

Gonna have to try that VGT you suggested, this Corvette is completely undrivable. I've been sending folks to Sardegna Road Course with one of several different cars to grind. No rain, no penalties, cars actually work right, etc. I've run it in 26 minutes flat.

@@noname47032 the VGT handles very well, just be sure to shift early at 6,900 RPMs to conserve fuel for a pit-free race and also reduce tire spin.

With the bigger wing I could come up with the following: ride height 100-124, antiroll 7-9, dampers 20-40-50-35, springs 3.30-3.65, camber 0.2-1.6, toe angles 0.04-0.84 (out), initial torque 11, acceleration sensitivity 32, downforce 219-388, the rest same as yours, will yield PP 537.23. Alternatively, rear camber can be dropped to 0.9, if initial torque is lifted to 11 and acceleration sensitivity to 37.

@@srsgoblin Could be that the game is showing 0.03 as 0.04 for the toe angles or something like that (duplicate consecutive values). Best to check one-by-one what might trigger the exclamation mark. It usually means that you’re very close to the minimum possible PP amount, so it’s not far off.

This race is the fastest money farm yet since the tomahawk days! 1:56:500 fastest lap with a 24:47:900 finish time Fuel map 6 lean the whole race, Traction 5, Brake balance -1 P.S. You don’t need the steering angle adapter the car handles better without it and it doesn’t affect the PP. Also make your 7th gear 0.656 / 442. You can get over 400kmh down the straight

It's 4-5 min short of the 24h Lemans track time. Not bad. But for money grinding, I pretty much go into autopilot - and this race I have to be on my toes the whole race. You found a car that can take advantage of that long straight, which is the key difference. Corvettes are underrated for sure overall.

It's an interesting setup, but in I suck at Tokyo. In 2.5 laps I'd already accrued 20 seconds in penalties, and was reminded of why I should never run there if I don't need to. I am not kidding about how bad I am there. Thanks for the videos! They (almost always) help me.

Gr.4 Huracan, high or med turbo, tuned with ballast and front/rear aero. Max ballast at -50. Min front aero and max rear aero. Pretty sure that’s it. Going from memory. Super easy. You can hit 2:10s if you’re good and lap some cars by the end. Sports medium tires, no-stop, fuel map on 1 and just leave it on 1. No extra messing with assist settings. ABS on and that’s it. It’s a guaranteed win. Even on hard.

I made the same mistake but got it. I think the mistake you made was the toe angle. You might have put it at -.99 instead of .99. In other words it’s the .99 on the left side of the bar on 3:14 .

Bump your e-brake to make the wet turns (bump, bump, bump until the front is going where you want). If I'm going to hit the wall I hold down the e-brake button because a mild rear bump won't cause a penalty.

@@Tango231 I just ran 3 times with the C7 and my best time was 25:30 penalty free with 1:59 FLap. In summary, the C7 can handle the wet much better, so it is easier on laps 1 and 2, but then when the track dries up the car struggles to maintain speed in the corners. I found myself taking each corner about 15-25 MPH slower with the C7. The car has so much power that if you full gas it you will come into each corner too hot and have to brake too much, entering at a slower speed... Or if you want to maintain a higher corner speed then you have to ease off the throttle a bit before each corner, which means you aren't taking advantage of it's HP. That being said, the car will bite down on corners at high speed and maintain the line without much oversteer. The car struggles the most coming out of the hairpin as you need steady throttle control. Then general driving I find the car is very lofty and will "float" like a boat from side to side, which can be annoying when you just want to take you hand off the stick/wheel on a straight. The alpine, on the other hand, I find struggles on lap 1 but is equal speed on lap 2 and much faster every lap after. I usually run an average total time of 25:15 with 1-2 penalties and my best was 24:46 penalty free. And my FLap being about 1:55.3xx. The alpine can handle the hairpin much easier, has better fuel economy, can take each corner at a much higher speed when the track is dry, is personally more consistent, and overall a bit faster (maybe 30 seconds on average). The problem with the alpine is that it has a tendency for the rear end to slip out during high speed corners if you aren't careful. I also find the tire wear to last better on the final laps of each stint. Overall the C7 is probably more beginner friendly, but the alpine has more potential for advanced drivers. Either way they are both quick!

Oh man, this race is the best! Soooo many cars you can use to win this race and the AI rubberbands up or down depending on your pace, so more variety. Haven't tried this tune yet, but with that insane toe angle, this will be really hard to handle - Alpine 220 glitch is amazing and fun. I personally haven't cracked into 24 min range with PR of 25:09 and FL of 1:57.2xx. Very urious to try this one out later!

Very weird handling car, but this does get the Performance Points level down! I just ran my first attempt at that race, and I didn't do so well, but I took a look at other mods, and apparently you can increase body rigidity and it takes the performance points up to 594.26, which is still below 600 for the race. Seems to handle a little better with that, especially under braking.

Ensure you're not running a livery at all to be on the safe side as any slight change in wheel design or width will completely mess with the PP, I left both the wheels & rear spoiler stock as well the livery due to them causing changes in PP

I can confirm this still works, be sure to follow the directions in the video exactly....including that the rear toe angle is OUT @ .99, and also of note is that my 580pp did not update properly until I backed out of the car settings screen.

This glitch has already made me millions, glad you finally found it. I have a similar tune that brings it down to 461.24PP I think. However I got this car to run 1:57s and my fastest lap time is 1:56ish. There's a guy I know who has a tune with RH tires but everyone who has used it can't control it regardless of what assists they use. He's posted a 23min race time and I don't know how he's done it

I did a similar glitch but with the RX-7 with the 787B engine. I think its on par with the Corvette. You don't need to refuel, you can leave the fuel at full power. You still need to pit to change the tires though.

24:55. Honest thoughts. I think this car is slightly better than the alpine but not by much, no more 5 seconds the entire race maybe. Best total race time corvette is 24:55 and that’s babysitting the fuel map. Alpine is 24:47 with fuel map 1. With a little more experience with the corvette I do believe I can beat my alpine time but not by much. I do enjoy racing with this car setup. Thanks.

finally a tune that i managed to win the race with. I hate this race with a passion, would rather gargle rusty razorblades in sewage. screwed up pretty bad 20 sec penalty and 2 pitstops, forgot to change tires. still won easy. ohh and you can add a style(paint job) without breaking the glitch
