It's fascinating that the devs of racing games cannot code a way to stop these wall bangers and car bashers. Can the code not recognize these moves as they happen, so it could just ghost the car, turn off It's tire grip, so it careens into the nearest wall, sticks like a magnet to the wall for 5 seconds minimum, than let the car resume?

I'm with ya. With Sophy, a proper B spec would be interesting. Would allow each player to "train" Sophy to their own skill level for single player too. Allowing everyone to have competitive experience against A.I. that could stand to actually help them improve.

Qualifying better usually has the opposite affect in my experience. So I spend the time to get quicker in qually, 1 second, 2 seconds quicker. Yeah now let's race, when now my starting position will be further back in the field. Not only that but instead of being in a like class race "B" I will be outclassed put with A and A+. I love how that works, this game, don't even know why I play it.

The 3rd race I had something happen like that when I went from b split to a. I went from starting first without question to 3-6 area my first a split race I pulled a blinding double dive (clean) into that first hairpin the second double apex corner before the long straight had a massive shunt I won by 5 seconds and almost started crying.

Steve, you would shave a tenth or two off of your lap times if after you shifted into first gear to slow down, you short shifted back into second before the apex to not only have smoother power delivery but you lose less momemtum from the upshift accelerating out of the corner. You've seen this technique before when analyzing ghosts from faster players but then you forget about it after you move on to the next track. Give it a try. It doesnt feel faster but it is.

I remember playing this track multiple times against the AI just so i can race it. I agree on not utilising the tracklist, same thing on singleplayer, there’s around 500 races on Tokyo but about 4 on Bathurst. I think some of the other ovals have only 1 race

On the one hand, watching these races is always fun and usually funny at times. On the other, I do wish there was more variety in the races themselves. Seeing a Gr.4 race only to find every single person using the same car because it is the only competitive one is a little sad and it takes away from the variety I’d expect a grouped race to offer.
