Hi again, Steve, Prototype here! I was in the Supra standing sideways in Race 2. It's exactly as you said - dipped two wheels in the wet, and I was just a passenger from that point. Such a shame: pace was great, and I could have challenged for the win in that one. A really hectic race, shame you didn't go for a third attempt! I'm still very impressed with how quickly you improve on a new combo. Keep it up!
@o0_VanYsH_0oАй бұрын
Yeah, I found the track spotty when I picked up my win. It felt like in turns 3 and 4, and along the racing line on the back of the track, like the slightest deviation from the line slid you off the track like Oil. I found putting Hard tires on 4, taking it easy till Lap 8 worked best. Gave me time to let the track dry, but let's just say my Viper DID NOT like those 4 laps waiting for the track to dry. Definitely did not expect to pull ahead as far into pole position as I did, let alone win.

If that was how Senna drove every race of his career, he would have been out on his arse before getting anywhere near F3 and neither you nor I would ever have heard his name. When I won on this track for the Manufacturer's cup, it was tricky. I had tons of practice on the track, but never in the Wet. The trick was to start with heavy wet tires, swap to your hard racing tires and refuel on Lap 4, take it easy for the track to fully dry by lap 8, and then punch it the rest of the race. The Viper actually felt like the best choice for the track, that thing absolutely TOOK OFF in the racing line, and held stupidly well. First and probably my only manufacturer win for a while, but I'll hold that one high, lol.

Hey, I'm #1 in my local area as well. Just had to finish this race once in last place (10th with 5 DNF's). So sadly, I'm also the last in my local area. but since you're #1 in your whole province, I won't argue. as in my province of Flanders/Belgium I'm 662nd out of just over 800. It's just so weird that on the first 2 spots that can gain you money, so many people are both first and last. People really underestimate the amount of money you can get by just participating and finishing a single race. Plus if you're as clever as me and don't pick a meta brand, like Suzuki or SuperGT's Mitsubishi you might even end up getting a lot of money for the manufacturer classification.

Nice run. In my race I was wondering about the rush most were in to change tires immediately when the dry line began to appear. Then they had to drive super cautiously and many wrecked their cars. I didn't pit until lap 7 and finished 2nd with 310 points. Was fun!
@o0_VanYsH_0oАй бұрын
Ah, was wondering the same thing!!! I had plenty of experience on the track, but not in the wet. I found that you could Pit on lap 4, swap to your hard tires, and if you topped up on fuel you wouldn't need to pit for the rest of the race. Pitting early on 4 meant if anyone else stayed out, it was a guaranteed lead because they'd be forced to go in. Takes about 3 more laps for the track line to fully dry though, so you have gotta take it REALLY easy. My Viper REALLY didn't like waiting on the Racing line to dry after getting my hard tires on, XD. However, it payed off huge, as the Viper has got some serious acceleration, and the second those tires got the chance for some full grip, it took off like a rocket. Didn't expect to hold pole position for as long as I did, let alone pick up a W.

@o0_VanYsH_0oАй бұрын
Ah, I felt the Viper was BEAUTIFUL on this track!!! I got a win in it when I raced here, absolutely mental. The plan was to pit lap 4, top up fuel so I wouldn't need to pit the rest of the race, and swap to hard tires so that the moment the racing line dried I could be ready far before anyone else pitted to swap tires. My gamble payed off, but BOY my Viper did NOT LIKE those 3 laps waiting for the line to dry. Once it did, it took off like a rocket. Hoping it gets used more, it's a blast to drive and a ton of fun, but ya gotta be careful not to overdo it coming out of a turn. The lightest bit of over-acceleration and it's gunna slither right off the track.

A Rare Race, A Rare Track... Challenging semi wet conditions at Its Best.. Each Race car with its own Handling Characteristics some good some bad, that Mid Engine NSX was untouchable a balance car because of the location of engine with decent HP/speed and a driver who knows the handling characteristics, also knowing and seeing the road conditions of the track. Push drafting when done correctly is another smart solution in moving forward. The Evo is good in road courses with 4WD but in Tokyo Expressway it lacks in HP/Speed. You Did Your Best Steve! Regarding your previous Sim vlog GT7 are making Good changes to the Game Updates Mega 1.49 is one of them, adding back the Eiger Norwand Yes remembering the GT5/GT6 years. I love that Valley road course. Yup too bad they did not add all the variations. Anyways on the technical side Its good to start making each Mfr/race/road car its own characteristic physics from handling, performance, etc etc. Imagine some cars having the same characteristics, It's not Fun, it's not True Reality(Realism). example using the brakes properly it is true when using too much brake the car will not turn(apex, hard hairpin)brake early roll into the apex that's realism racing some cars will have advantages/dis-advantages in this area. It depends on the Individual driver's muscle memory learning physics of the car driven. This physics update will make it More Challenging/Enjoying for All of US! Well ? Some of US ... Hey Steve, I've retired from my job(work reality)since June, been driving/vlog PC race sims for a while now also restoring/add on upgrades to my 2010 Camaro 2SS LS3(Fun reality).
