Newbie here so my question might be laughable. I keep hearing downshift, upshift on turn. I have a wheel but not a stick or clutch. Can I just use paddle shifters on wheel? If so, do I use manual transmission for this?

Yes you can, put it into manual. The shifer is much slower than pedal shifters

hey guys, already tried the 1h races in the missions after the update? it's impossible for me to win these races. any informations about that?

They're all different. A lot of it comes down to car choice and pit strategy. It's only for the last one at Maggiore that you really have to be on your toes because the AI is ruthless and super sonic. Which one are you struggling with?

@@a.l.1707 made it through the first 3 races without problems, yesterday, after the update, i tried kyoto and deep forest and i had no chance getting closer to pole. before both races i had to downtune my cars (gr yaris & c7 gr3) by around 15pp because of the update.

@@a.l.1707 no it doesn't, but 550pp are after update around 565pp, same with 500 or 600pp. so after another optimizing down to required pp's it seems impossible to me to win these 2 races. don't know about the other 1h races. but sure it will be the same problem - the missing 15pp's makes it impossible to win.
