I doubt you will, but could you look at the Cossie after it has been upgraded? For some reason, it just oversteers out of control for me. I didn't even do any fine-tuning to the aero or suspension; not even the tyres help. I don't understand what's going on...
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
It's probably too low. The cossie suffers with the wheel arch rubbing which I cover in my Suspension tuning Part 1 video. Increasing natural frequency to prevent leaning and increasing ride height may go a long way to help. But I'll cover the Sierra soon. I've got the V8 MR2 next, and the Shelby Cobra 427 after that, and I think I'll try the Sierra Cosworth after the Cobra.

@Dogzero33Ай бұрын
Ideally, cars with no downforce shouldnt go beyond 2 or 2.5 natural frequency since ride height changes aren't critical... but more importantly it looks almost like the front tyres themselves have more grip than the rear using the same compound which makes no sense. The only thing i could think of is maybe use 0 camber at the front and -2 at the rear, and rear compression at the softest. Maybe also try maxing out the diff to handle the power, pretty sure the car wont turn but if you ever tried less than soft tyres at the rear the car would never put the power down. Neat tip worth trying is stiffening the rear expansion and softening the rear anti roll bar,(technically you can keep the feel/turn in but raise total car grip that way)
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
Believe me, I've tried it all. You can't run less than about 3.0 natural frequency when using slick tyres because the body roll is so exaggerated on grippy tyres that the car becomes harder to control. Higher camber at the rear vs. the front will increase liftoff oversteer which is already an issue at high speeds. Maxing initial torque on the diff makes very little difference. Softening rear anti roll bars will also increase oversteer under braking. It's all a compromise when the car doesn't allow you to add rear downforce.

Do you think you can do the Lancia Stratos next? No swaps and still a handful.

It really is a shame that PD cant really do any American car right. Remember the Viper did near sub 7 at the Nordge so it should handle better. the only American car that's fast in game is the C6, not swapped i clock times faster than my C7 and Ferrari F8
@fossilfueled27Ай бұрын
The Vipers are all equally awesome, and punch well above their weight in GT7. Most of the American cars in GT7 are better than you'd expect. If anything the Superbird is an outlier for being so bad, along with maybe the Corvette C1, and the only reason for that is a lack of a rear wing option to add rear downforce.
@yoda3549Ай бұрын
@@fossilfueled27 but you can't drive them anymore unless you miss match tires so for some of us (me) who do just best runs all the time we like the RS tires but now the new viper, swapped 1st gen Camaro, gt350, ect. I can't even drive anymore.

Better top speed than other muscle cars (chevelle, charger etc) but it's front heavy like most muscle cars so not the best launch. A Honda NSX with with 300hp less will still sail past it for top speed though.

Thing is the Challengers and Vipers are excellent. It's just the superbird that's hellish, and that's only due to the lack of a rear wing.
@SirCliamainАй бұрын
@fossilfueled27 I mean, for no limit pp races sure. For competitive races where you have to set it for a certain pp they're not. I'm not trying to display any personal bias or anything. The other American cars don't seem to have an issue at all in the same situation.
