The bigger problem is the general standard of driving in the game. This is an A+ race but most drivers are not A+ and the average standard of driving / sportsmanship is shocking. I've almost stopped playing on line now because it's virtually impossible to have a clean race and PD don't seem to care. It's a shame that they put so much effort into the physics and the visuals etc. but then hand over the implementation of an effective penalty system to a work experience school kid.

After last week's races, my DR got bumped down a grade and the difference between lobbies is astounding... Nearly every race was filled with KIMIs. I had to put the game down for a bit. I really hope they can sort this chaos out, but I hold little hope in them doing anything meaningful.

i find it funny that, like other very dirty drivers, kimi is running all the assists. They do this so when the retaliation comes, they are less affected or can recover more quickly.

by "all the assists" you mean countersteering, right? I can't see any other. Just curious

@@acillatem1989 this one is using countersteer. Others are using some of the other assists but almost everyone I see is using some form of assist, because they know, often, you will dump yourself too, when you try to take someone out. I seen one, who was supposed to be top or second split, had them all on and being as dirty as they could be.

In addition to Sophy AI that is trained to drive a car, Sony should also train a Judge AI to detect dirty moves like this one, however there's a big barrier compared to Sophy: this learning must be supervised whereas Sophy works unsupervised. Supervised learning means that humans themselves must tell the answer, like "yes this is a penalty", "no this is not a penalty", so it means that it will take more resources to train the AI, but it can be done.

Kimi is one of the biggest reasons that I hold the unpopular opinion that after a certain Driver Rating level the Counter steer assist should be disabled and rendered unusable. If you take a good look at the dirtiest drivers, most of them use the Countersteer and Stability Control assists. They drive the way they do because those two assists will keep them from going off track a vast majority of the time.

It just needs to make car damage a massive penalty like the more realistic sims, one bash and their car would be so compromised then the race is over for them or anyone else who drives dirty. This would make a massive change to the whole vibe of gt, it takes door banging to ridiculous levels with no fear of your car being significantly slowed. This little bit damage that magically heals its self is my biggest gripe with gt and what it in turn makes online racing become on it.

I think too many have realised how to barge their way forward without getting penalised. In one of my GT3 races earlier I accidentally bumped a guy in front... no harm done as he resumed right behind me so I pulled over and let him through. I got past again, fair and square but he didn't like it and tried side-swiping me. He did get me later but I managed to get past 2 guys to catch him when he was now in 1st place. Well, Karma is a sweet bitch 😆A few corners from the end of the last lap.... he spun off. Perfect ending which handed me the win.

That’s the issue with PD and GT7. I no longer play this game though I still watch your stream. The SR in this game is so bad and more than often you meet dirty drivers who dive bomb 💣 from miles away. It’s so annoying and ruins everybody’s free time where we should have fun. Keep up the good stream🙏🤘

PD removed the report function, how is anyone else supposed to help remove people like that? He even sent you a message after the second ram, as you were going down the straight across the start line he sends you a message of 'Lets have a clean race'. You basically have to send this to PD, and it's still just a maybe they do something about him.

I just want to say that KIMI and several drivers like him, who litter lower DR lobbies across the game, SHOULD be banned. Repetitively ruining other people's races, without any care for the enjoyment of a good race for yourself and others is HARASSMENT and BULLYING. You aren't competing on the racetrack at that point, you are using the game as a way to hurt other people who are otherwise trying to have a good time. The game needs two things: 1. A simple calculation to ghost cars whose speed and distance into corners can't allow the driver to control the car without a collision. Let the bad drivers' poor lines take care of ruining their OWN RACES. 2. A reporting feature so repeat offenders can be banned outright.

No. Because some drivers really need it. If I'm in a Gtr then I don't need it but in the Huracan it's useful. If someone is deliberately hitting people just hit them back a bit or just avoid them. It's always just one position.

I use it as a defense against the rammers. I have throttle control so I’m fine without it in a vacuum but it’s nigh impossible to react against a pit maneuver quickly enough in a sim race.

Daily races are just a mess with all the dirty ones. Not doing them anymore. Only when I'm able to start in the top 5 or so. Everything else is pointless. PD should decide either to turn off the pensystem so that the drivers can send these idiots to the shadow realm by themselves when it is necessary. (I think we had the best races in GTSport when it was nearly off) OR JUST GET IT SORTED PD!!!! IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT. THEY JUST DON'T CARE.

Pd won’t do anything I said for months they need a black flag rule or something where u the lobby can vote to kick someone to pit for the remainder of the race or just simple as a passive mode for that player

Also they need to reconsider penalties. How are you not getting a penalty for spinning out other drivers (even if it is accidental) but then when i try to avoid a crash and go over a line by 1 mm i get a 0.5 sec penalty. But the most stupid penalties are the ones where you are being slammed into a barrier , got damage, lost a shitload of time and still get a 1,5 sec penalty. At this rate i would say , get rid of all the penalties because the people that actually deserve them arent getting them.

If Polyphony Digital is more than happy to allow a driver to drive dirty in a Gran Turismo world final, televised, live, and streamed to thousands of fans (Fraga on Hazal) and then let that very same driver win the overall world championship that year, then what chance do you think we have of them ever re-finding their integrity and taking action on someone like Kimi? PD's integrity died years ago. Let it rest in peace.

I haven't seen that race you're referring to, but it is quite a big difference, I think, in driving agressively, side by side, going for small gaps, and deliberately trying to spin people and forcing them off track...

PD have is MAC from his ps5 just block it for 4-8 Weeks and at the same time block his account. He is just destroying the game. What an asshole, people like that ruin the online experiance, running people wide isn’t always a bad move i think, if you make a clean overtake and someone chooses to stay on the outside you know you’re gonna run out of road (not pushing people off) if you make a move on the inside you don’t always have the grip to stay 2 meters from the outside and give that space, if you’re overtaken sometimes it’s the smart thing to just accept it and give the position

There was a time in gts when penalties were ridiculous. You couldn’t touch or you’d be in the oubliette, I remember yt’ers complaining like it was North Korea. But that’s when I made progress, people were at their best behaviour and I could finally be as fast as I could be (not very impressive but enough to have fun), without getting sandwiched or creamed. Or even deep fried sometimes. I could wish for those days to return. Now in gt7, I daren’t enter the dailies cos there’s always a Kimi around. There again, once upon a time we had gt6, stayed in one room all evening, and developed friendships with whoever did the same. I remember one time when I went back to pick up a guy that crashed, bringing him home to the finish. Very Cars, very cheap, but it felt good.

And everyone still thinks we should not be able to vote to kick bad drivers out of lobbies. Now tell me again how people will vote to kick out the good drivers and leave the bad ones in. Very simple solution. Before a race you highlight and vote to kick the player. If 50% or more vote to kick it removes that player from the lobby. Problem solved.

Good to hear that PD can ban a complete console from the game and not just an account... Maybe PD can make it so drivers using assists/driving aids (except TC) are grouped into their own races so that players who actually know how to drive can race in relative peace...

Kimi is one of those necessary evils by purposefully exploiting the penalty system. Fix the penalty system or create a way to block players from being in your lobby. Problem solved. Not condoning their actions. They just aren’t the root of the problem.

Honestly really bad to see, he isn't some unknown guy that only came in last couple of months, he's been at it since gts and hasn't been punished whatsoever, truly mind boggling how pd haven't seen and done anything about it if they'd really care about the experience. I can get it could be hard to implement a report system for the game as it subjective and varies alot between races, but when you have repeated offenders, there should be an easy way of getting this across via a report system, when you have alot of people reporting that person at 1 time or over multiple periods

You should like your other UK colleges also drive one or 2 days something like iracing or acc (or rf2) on platforms like LFM. I haven't played GT7 for 8 months, it have its reason's. Yes the grafic and deliveries are magnificent but that it. Gt4 cars a horrible physics, tracks are without any details, ffb just ohhhh, but the penelty system is a crime, instead of using the Sophy for the penelty system they use it to show that we are just some ants and morons. I have also driven against this driver and regardless where he kills everybody. No but no consequences, what a bad game... So please don't just drive gt7, since 6 months I just watch u 1 time per months, at gts it was like everyday:)
