@@namugriff Sorry to bother you but wondering if you can help me out.. I've just finished a manufacturer race, I qualified in pole, did not see or collide with another car the whole race. I done my pit stop nice and calm rather than screeching in 100mph, won the race by 28 seconds but got demoted to 6th!!!..what is that all about?

The qualifying issue seems so easy to fix: Either switch off slipstream entirely, or just run solo qualifying laps. Surprised they let the fuel-burn strat live for so long.

I think that making everybody do at least two laps, so everyone can have one chance of Slipstreaming and penalize who is going too slow on the track near the end of the lap would help too

Ouch that sounds like my attempts with the GT-R in this race. I had an awful time trying to drive that car for some reason. Maybe because it's an FR car. I go much better in MR cars like the Porsche. Trying to improve with a pad, but it's rough at times.

@@cs-yz9yo yeah as ImKaeR said, you have the engine location first and then the drivetrain: FF - front engine, front wheel drive FR - front engine, rear wheel drive MR - mid engine, rear wheel drive RR - rear engine, rear wheel drive (pretty rare to see this. Edit: apparently it's common in buses :D) Occasionally you may see a reference to 4WD cars such as "F4" meaning front engine, if I recall correctly, but I've rarely seen that before.

Was fun battling with you there mate! Was kinda pissed off when I got that 1 second for barely touching the Brit. Borderline defending at 130R on lap 11 but the rest was very good defending (and not blocking as the French guy said at the end KEKW) so well done for that ;)

to be fair i've never seen anyone be able to leave enough space not even IRL to the outside car if it goes for a move at 130r. The only way i could see it happen is if the inside car backs way out before the corner. at that point the question is: who is the car that has to give way in that scenario? inside or outside? which car is on the racing line through that corner? or is 130r just not a place to go for moves if its this complicated?

To be fair you turned in on Steve at 130R. Would have been better to force Steve narrow and then move to take the racing line and make a move into the chicane.

Hello Steve. I started following your channel in the Forza 6 days. You had about 10000 followers I think. I also have a Playstation and immediately fell in love with GT Sport. From the moment you started broadcasting GT Sport videos, your channel started to grow exponentially. Not about to start any console wars (Forza vs Gran Turismo) or Sim wars (iRacing is of course more sim than GT Sport), but the accessibility of GT Sport has really made it the most enjoyable racing game to play and to watch. You're almost at 400K! Well deserved!

In cases like this, where the 3 compounds must be used, it could be useful to practice with the mediums to see how much slower their average time is compared to the soft's. When the lap time in the softs stint gets closer (like 2 tenths Faster) to that average medium tyre time, it's a good time to stop

Gotta top up fuel in both stops - ie a tyre stop’s worth of fuel in stop 1, reducing the time you’re stopped after tyres on stop 2

They just need to turn fuel and tire wear and slipstream off and ghost the cars for qualifying. You'll still get a visual cue as to how you're doing relative to those around you,but won't have to worry about getting in the slipstream or any mistakes in front of you.

The solution to the quali problem depends on whether gt sport wants to be closer to a sim or an arcade I'd say be closer to real life and extend the length of quali to 10 or 20 min
