Hello SuperGT, I just discovered your chain, I'm Rasbib, after having read part of the comments I had to answer as many nasty attacks without knowing myself or having my opinion and felt on the race. First of all I generally and like you liked this race, I start in Nation Cup and I don't often play GTsport. It was epic, shock park against shock park the whole race. In my defense, I left the doors much more open than you, I prefer a race with overtaking rather than closing everything as you did when you were in front. I understand and respect this strategy. When I say that I liked this race overall, it is because the end touch has ruined the show !!!. I am very sorry to have braked a bit too late, with jimmy prost just behind I could not let you iron. So yes I made a mistake which distorts the result, sorry I am not a pro but to read that I did it on purpose, that I use the new penalty rules (I am not even aware) that I am a pilot at banish ... short Anyway, congratulations to you for your channel, our dual race (you should have been first without contact but I was much faster than you towards the end ^^) and your fairplay

Not a problem mate. Not the way I wanted to end the race but I do understand that 3rd place was very close by and it made it harder to resolve it. I'd usually not defend every corner but I felt like my tyres were worse and that it was the only way to win that particular race. Overall, a very good race.

The worst part is that even now that it isn't there, you can still randomly get 2 second penalties for minor and irrelevant taps/ getting brakechecked yet ramming someone is worth no penalty
@mralf1_104
@mralf1_104 4 жыл бұрын
@JT Summed it up perfectly. You know what's worse than all of that? I was driving the Nations race at Dragon Trail the other day and I got a 2 second penalty on both races... without even touching anyone and for no actual reason! I checked and double checked the replays to see if there was any reason as to why the penalties were given, but I hadn't done anything wrong! The worst thing was that when I received the penalty, I normally would get a text explaining why I had a penalty, but that time, NOTHING SHOWED UP. They literally gave me a two second penalty, with all that implies in an official races in cars where you get punished badly for time losses, and they didn't even have a reason to give it to me! And people were saying it was improved after the update! This system has not been fixed at all with the update: in fact, the game has gone backwards since that, because the penalty system is just as bad as before for what you mentioned and the servers are now so much laggier and messier.
@mralf1_104
@mralf1_104 4 жыл бұрын
@JT You're also right about the whole wall thing. I don't see any reason why the system should punish the player so heavily when the player makes a mistake. I thought it was for realism purposes (so as to make you lose time equivalent to the damage you would have on the car in real life), but I have also seen them given in races with no damage, so... what's up with that?
@merthyr1831
@merthyr1831 4 жыл бұрын
Yup, penalty system is still laughably broken, but at least it not being there is better than it penalising everyone for tiny contact. Though despite that I still did ragequit in the Gr3 Redbull Ring Wet race today because I spent ages practicing, only to get *punted off at the first corner despite going relatively deep, then getting a 2 second penalty for it*. Cmon now, it was honestly close to being alright for a while, then from what I can tell they've ruined it since people have been pulling Momoz maneuvres :(

Getting tired of this game having a penalty system that doesn't know when to penalise and that rewards people using other drivers as brakes since it gains them a place and doesn't get them penalised (in fact, it's more likely to penalise you for a slight tap to someone than by punting them into the Shadow Realm)

That's just the "the-one-I'm-a-fan-of-deserves-to-win-everything" mentality speaking. Considering how slow SuperGT was going around the track, he'd have to Reverse if SuperGT were to pass him. He was 100% a better driver than SuperGT. Fair win. If early-braking, apex-parking, and slowing everyone down is your main strategy you need to understand you're at the mercy of the other drivers patience with you as a roadblock. Don't expect unlimited mercy in a competitive game. Every slow corner the chance you will be rear-ended increases by 10%. And accept it as a con of the strategy.

If the other driver was better he wouldn't have to rely on the system being broken to win a race. If you think using a defensive racing line is cheap or somehow cheating then you probably aren't going to win too many races. I know constantly attacking and being denied must be frustrating but I call that Frenchman's win as a BS, he did push you very wide on the last lap, like c'mon. You didn't do the same to him when you were attacking. Maybe it was not intentional but still, should at least leave you side by side with himself. I know for a fact that you care more about quality of the races than the outcome at the end, and that little tap didn't change the overall quality of the race, but it sure did change the outcome.

It seems the only way to avoid it is to overdrive the car and try to get them to make a mistake first, trying to keep up with you. Because if you don't, you are getting booted! I have learned that just a little 'cheat tap' from Rasbib is the key to winning. The second thing I learned is that after doing the 'cheat tap' the next step is to pretend that you braked a bit too late. Cheats prosper at GT Sport.

honestly thought French guy raced well. his tires were in better shape so anyone could have made that mistake. and in the end he was faster. Steve was defending hard because he had to which murdered his tires. I learned a lot from this :D

I enjoyed this race. Started in 13th on the grid carnage in both 1st and 2nd corner but somehow managed to survive into 2nd place. Great battle with the 1st place holder and managed get him and pull a fair lead. Who know rally cars on ss tyres were so much fun at brands hatch 🤷🏻‍♂️

Man these races at Brands Hatch with Gr. B are tense! I used to not like this track (The GP layout) but mainly because I was t that good at it. But I really do enjoy it now. Gr. 3 is the best class.

It seems like if you want to win you just need to sit in second place, preserve tires, and then punt the leader wide at the start of last lap. They will try to keep it on the track because it's the last lap and you won't get a penalty because they didn't go off.
