Gran Turismo Sport Review in 2022 - 5 YEARS LATER!

👍 There is very few reviews of GT Sport in 2022 The game got a lot of content updates over the years And taking into consideration how mixed the reception of gt7 is I believe that buying a gt sport which is cheap right now. Total 300 races in gt sport which is more than cafe menu in gt7 has. I really liked licenses, challenges and circuit learning as for the campaign I got tired with the chase the rabbit that for some reason gt holds on to instead of giving a single player races with proper training (the time when you can in limited time tune your car), qualifications (defining the position on the grid) and finally the race.

I wanted to collect this game, but the the always online kills this game instantly. Sad that they never changed it.

You can play offline, but need to be online to save progress

Now that they shut it down you can know save and play the game offline. The only reason to get this is you can get all the cars in the game pretty e”fast and easily by just playing it. Unlike gt7 it would take 3x as long to do the same thing. Gt sport is very close to gt7 in terms of physics and wheel ffb. It’s a fun game I have psvr and love getting in almost all cars.

They did a last update where you can play the game offline now. It’s officially shut down in terms of online play

Bought this on Sale recently. The always online garbage killed it for me but I guess that will teach me not to rush when looking for a so called bargain. Not being able to save when playing offline is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Terrible game. Regardless thanks for the Review.

Yup that's a shame about GT Sport, along with GT7 which doesn't let you play singleplayer offline (so dumb)

Servers are in maintenance mode, they're not shut down. It's the same with GT7 as they use the same servers.

I heard the gtsport still playable offline mode and have save progression whereas gt7 have limited offline mode and NO SAVE PROGRESSION.

The points for GT Sport (and to wait with gt7): - gt sport has a campaign with 300 races including endurance, more than gt7 so there is more content for single player - both are always online - gt sport is less grindy and more fun in that sense without ridiculous MTX - gt sport can be bought from bargain bin so even if servers will be shut down (from what I heard this might not be as quickly as in game of gt5 and 6 due to the fact AI Sophy is trained on GT Sport) you spent a few bucks on it so not much of a loss So yeah I’m playing gt sport bought from bargain bin in 2022. And I most probably will not buy gt7 any time soon, I simply do not see a point.
