I love how 30 years later, everyone is like "Those acid house parties were historic" and no one is like, "Boy, its a good thing the cops and politicians were able to stop the scourge of acid house." I think history has shown who won.

Ironic that Granada Reports correspondent, Tony Wilson, or Anthony H Wilson as he became known (pretentious twat), fuelled a lot of these parties with his music production and the bands he promoted or at least the scene.
@christopherbrookfield47855 жыл бұрын
Tony Wilson was a legend in his own lifetime and had a very positive influence on new music and youth culture. The world is a darker place without him in it. Same with John Peel. RIP. 💔

@@christopherbrookfield4785 Peel yes, Wilson...no. He was a manipulative cunt, only interested in himself and money.

Well dance culture gew.. but the government banned raves with the CJB, so it became 'clubbing' and made more acceptable, but even that is being slowly squeezed out with so many clubs closing. Dance festivals aren't the same either, everything has a curfew now, they all finish about 11pm apart from Glastonbury.
