Also forgot to mention, the netcode felt amazing! I played connections from EC to WC and it handled perfectly. It's a bit hard to stress test it during the beta since there are no rooms and only quick play.

I am having a blast! New graphic and the netcode is really amazing While there are some issue with this beta but nothing major that balance patch cant fix so im hopeful for the game

unfortunately i cant play the beta since im a pc player, so i have a question, arent simple inputs broken on charge characters? sure i know they were a thing in the original too, but at least simple inputs gave them a cooldown so they couldnt be spammed. i wanted to play eustace in rising, but after seeing the changes i may not want to since i'll be the scum of the earth for doing so, even if i use the technical input.

For me, someone with terrible execution, the simple inputs change just discourages me from actually get good at that. There is no point on attempting normal inputs for me now and that sucks out some of the fun. I loved the old system, annoyed they got rid of it. Still very fun though, at least until I turn off technical inputs. Netcode was good, it was handling 150ms ping fine. The throw tech window + the very obvious animation gave me a chuckle the first time I saw it, such an odd change. I hope they lower the window back to what it was, the new animation should be enough. No idea how you are supposed to deal with Raging Strike.

Throws beat strike on the same frame now. The throws just work like uniel but a little worse, they can make some changes but its honestly fine.

GBVS always been hybrid inputs anyway so let it rock IMO Charlotta always said FXXK IT WE BALL with or without charge! - FWIW I didn't use them during beta and I felt right at home - I guess we're probably gonna need to have an easy input move or super on hand to react to the new crazy stuff LOL I always had my "emergency DP" in the first game as 6S Thankfully right after they announced the change we were able to try out the game THAT EVENING LOL cuz if the change was for GBVS it would definitely be harder to rationalize

As someone who wasn't selected for the closed beta and that also wont be able to play the open one later (I am stuck in a relam worse than Brazil) I gotta ask, has the combo structure changed a bit ? I know raging strike and such exist but do character get new stuff with things like Ultimate skills and such ? If the answer is no than thats a shame... I wished regular Ex moves where more usefull to extend combos now especially since from what I've seen they don't seem to give untech kds anymore.

All ultimate skills combo limit, and you can't cancel into them. However, raging strike acts as a launcher, so you do get new combo routes. However the damage they do isn't worth the 25% meter, so you end up relying on the old BnB which does more damage.

When I was talking about technical inputs vs Simple inputs I was talking about how simple inputs now have no penalty in rising as opposed to in the base game. They do the same damage, have the same cooldown, give the same oki and so forth. People have been crying over this and I mentioned how after about 9 hours of playing I do not think this change is a big deal and won't affect how the game will be played.

@@MerpKun That is actually a very big deal, there's no reason to play using normal inputs right now, that changes the feel of each character a lot since nobody that plays optimally will use the motion ones, It's actually a thing that should be reverted to how it was before.

@@gabrielst527 That is what is sounds like on paper but after playing the beta for 2 days I can confirm the simple/technical input change does not matter much and people are blowing it way out of proportion. It does not change the feel of characters.

@@MerpKun With a shoto? Maybe it doesn't matter as much, just quarter circle motions, and dp input. But for grapplers and charge characters it HEAVILY changes it.

Ngl this game is pretty good ngl the only complaint I had wit this game that made it weird was Djeeta super ngl I get it they don’t want to make it to complicated but they did change gran super a little bit to make it unique to the character, and that’s why I loved Djeeta manual super and I really hope it comes back 😢

I don't care about simple and technical being the same because "one button supers are op", I care because with no cooldown differential there's only one viable route at any time and there is now zero creativity to be exercised in move management. And no, we don't get that creativity in meter management because there really is nothing to do with meter except RS. If you use your meter for anything else you're dumb and you lose. Why is every fighting game doing this "spam the new mechanic or don't play" bullshit?

@@solaireofbadciv914 Ult moves are medium to bad, EX moves are ass, sweeps got nerfed, grabs got nerfed, they removed UOH. The game's literally "do the route that builds the most meter so you can press the funny button, then do it again" now.
