iirc this is what the three biggest Oldsmobile dveloped grinds speced out at; "HO" (rpo: LGO/W40) = 216 / .410" W41 (rpo: LGO/W41) = 219 / .410" 226 (not ever offered through Oldsmobile) = 226 / .410" some of my other videos show 224 cams, these were a deviation of the 226 grind which used less duration, but more lift; 224 / .430"

@lovin18 200? ~ was your's an '89 SE by chance? These are rather tough to find these day, but if you're serious you can find one... this exact one is a '91 LE with the 'Sport Performance Package', I also have a '91 SE with the same Quad4HO drivetrain.

@Blazen8gsx webcam can regrind cams. they already have a 224 intake cam on file. I would have to bring my 224 exhaust cam for them to put on file - if someone wanted to go that route. They can also make differnt cams based on rather generic duration and lift; their regrind would use the exact same centerline as the core cams you provided... Laurie seems to be the only one there who knows anythign about Quad4's, and she is great to deal with - but the other lady isn't much help.

A few questions were did you get the cams from and how much hp is that quad putting out now sounds great what does it red line to now

rev limit is set by the tune on the chip for these cars; I found some cam blanks, and special ordered them from Comp Cams - they have these grinds on file - you just have to find cams. As I mentioned in another comment, webcams has my 224 cam profile on file, and they can build up any donor cams to create that grind. As to the horsepower question, I don't really know; I was never able to get a 2005-2007 Cobalt SS/SC to race against me; I know the 2008-2010 Cobalts make more power than this car, but even then it can come down to a drivers race; At my local track (RIP) 2008+ Cobalt SS (turbo) and Caliber SRT4 drivers would often be in the fifteens - and this car could do better than that. I'd say, it was probably an honest 220hp - I was tlod by severalof the regulars at my track, that my car was one of their favorites to see run.

actually I'd wager the 224 cam file they made from my damaged cam can be used for both intake and exhaust cams!! since they're the same cam, just out of phase... if you talk to Laurie the 224 cam file is #she should be able to pull up the lobe profile (I don't have the number they gave it handy) - they repaired a damaged intake cam of mine (which is why I am running the 226 cams in this video).

I had a car just like this, it got towed to a salvage yard right after I had rebuilt the engine. I couldn't cover the bill and it was crushed! Super sad day for me :/ Still looking for one... GM only made 200 of them!

@Blazen8gsx the 226 grind was developed by Oldsmobile's motorsports division; it retained the HO (W40) & W41 lift of .410", and if I've understood correctly the primary inspection at the time was an inspection hole, which was used to measure cam lift; the 226 grind has been called either "W41 #2" or "W41 cheater" cams.
