Yeah, I just discovered D. Rice and FF a week ago, too. I'm glad to have found them, glad you found them, more people need to stop listening to the same old shit on the radio and find out about great bands like these. I have some suggestions for you. First I would recommend Youngblood Brass Band if you haven't heard them, look up a quality version of the song "Brooklyn" tell me if you like it. If that isn't your thing here are some artists more similar in genre: Band of Horses, Foals, iron&wine

@datalorez I agree with you. I actually am the kid in this video, I never actually thought about tha way, It's actually pretty fun. And why is race such a big issue, i know these guys, my dads thier manager, and they wanted a kid for the video so they got me. So is there a problem with that. (that was to all the people who where being racist, not you) and NO I'm not SEAN KINGSTON!!!

yeah this song is so awesome. Probably my favorite song on their album The Grand Archives is either Swan Matches or George Kaminski but all the songs are amazing.

@pin3appel My lyric book sais it is "such a long way to go". Although while I read the book and listened to the album together, I noticed some words he sings are different then the book. Not like it really matter two years later haha. I would like if it was a play on words like ago though.

Shout out to the Sub Pop legal team for giving the thumbs up on a bunch of grownups picking up a random kid. Just the first of many random things about this one.

is it such a long way "to go" or "ago" i know "to go" makes more sense, but i can see the play on words if it is "ago"

can someone explain to me the appeal of music like this that sounds as if it should be played in school? please don't confuse my question as me trying to put down this type of music, i am just wondering why so many people like this? some of the alternative radio stations here have music blocks of this style and i just can't understand what is so great about it.

It’s that in a world of Slipknot and Cardi B, this reminds us of simpler times. It’s a happy.

lol I never put the stereotype together till I read the comments here. Aren't past those things yet? We hired a black man to run our country after all. Anyway he's prolly a friend of the bands' kid OR for all we know he was the kid willing to work the cheapest. whatever.
@Bodaciousss14 жыл бұрын
Jeezes, is it that bad to laugh about racism? We laugh with politicians, religions, even our mothers, but a stereotype joke about a black kid is bad? We are 2011 people...

Okay, so I look up this song on UT and there's "racist" stuff? Come on... it's a cheeky little kid boppin to the song, takes the van cause he wants to get on with it, and they all end up in an Alpaca farm. LOL! OBTW, the Alpacas are all different colors... awwwwww... :-) Peace!

I don't quite understand how someone can be racist.. Okay, so you hate black people.. Do you hate tan people?

Those llamas (or whatever they are) are way cuter than the kid. They should have left the kid out. Even if they weren't trying to be politically correct or cool or whatever, by having a little black kid in there, they should know it's still going to appear that way. It just comes across as cheesy and distasteful for some reason. Llamas (or whatever those are), on the other hand, are cool, and cute. Go Llamas Go!
