While I think it's a bit better,the numbers of rewards for gold fish scales are still low. It goes to show that Nintendo loves to throw a curve ball on us. The big question still remains; Will we reach 700 million eggs or reach 1 billion eggs in time?

Why on earth are they so STINGY with golden scales?? We're getting millions of eggs, and they're only giving us from 7 to 9 gold scales?? For the love of God, giving us atleast more than 9 isn't gonna hurt anyone.

Tell me if you think these amounts would've been more fair or too high/low. I think 700 million eggs should give us 70 gold scales, 120 silver, & 240 bronze. 800 million eggs should give us 80 gold scales, 130 silver , & 260 bronze. 900 million eggs should give us 90 gold scales, 140 silver, & 280 bronze.

I think that's WAY to much. First, I think an exchange rate of 1 gold ->10 silver->100 bronze seams fair. Second, with the new scale rewards for salmon run you are guaranteed 3 silver and 1 gold per rotation for only playing around 20-30 minutes. I know a lot of people who play way more than me, but still 70 gold in the past would have been around 4 months of grinding for me. so yeah, gold is way less valuable now.

I’m actually super happy how easy it is to get the gold award this time, got it on my second try. In previous big runs i never got further than bronze. Also, we’re easily breaking 1 billion, we’re already at 400000000.

Hmm....If I can get my math right, maybe we can go past 900 million Golden Eggs, we may or may not get 15 Gold Scales, 54 Sliver Scales, and 67 Bronze Scales. I'm ready for the Big Run next weekend. Me and MixelsLord are going to be playing and drive the Salmonoids out from the Grand Splatlands Bowl. I'm going to use the scales for the rewards after finishing each shift. #Splatgangs.

2:23 We don't even need the Overfishers to hit the goal. Splatoon 3 has sold 11.96 million units, so even assuming that only half of the player base participates, each player would only have to deposit about a 120 eggs *total*. Some players do that on regular rotations in less than an hour, let alone during a Big Run

While I definitely think we'll hit the goal, it wont be anywhere near half the people who purchased the game will play the big run. The first big run, (which had the highest playercount) had only 2.8 million players. At that point in time Splatoon 3 had sold over 10 million coppies (see Nintendo's fiscal report for quarter ending December 2022), meaning less than 3/10 of owners played. The number has of big run players significantly decreased by the statistics we have and so has the relitive porportion despite more sales. Don't get me wrong we'll hit the quota, but nowhere near half of Splat 3 owners are playing.

Dw guys ill get 699 million eggs trust me Srsly tho, yeah. With a competent freelance team i average about 120 eggs a round. if i had a proper team (which some people will) i would consistently get a bunch of eggs (my max is 130 or something). i think even with the above commenters point, the playerbase can do it

@@samuelturner6076 i would like to note though that the Lore point that the Big Run is on the Splatfest venue pushes players to be more involved with a sense of action. i feel like players who dont care for SR would try it out a bit again + the new guaranteed bonus scales entice players to play

@@umbreex4061 Sure, again I expect more players to play than last big run (we don’t have any concrete statistics past the first 3). However more players will definitely be nowhere near half the number of people who purchased the game.

@@samuelturner6076 There’s also the fact that it’s being played in a brand new area, and will be the first time any of us will be able to see that area for ourselves. For those that are still playing the game period, I think that plus the scale rewards will get them to at least try it out once.

A new boss and a new grizzco weapon would have been so much cooler than 7 gold scales. The grizzco weapon could have been like the ballpoint splatling and pierce for extra damage. And could be extra good against the kings if it pierces once or twice only. The boss idk what if it slid along the ground a bit faster than cohozuna and generates gold eggs in sacs on the sides.

@@paprika059Professional Salmon Run players who go above and beyond to get as many golden eggs as possible. Going way past the quota with ease and usually netting 50+ eggs per wave, maybe even more

Gold = eggs/100m Silver = 21+3^x (x is the number of eggs collected, 1x = 100 million, starting at 700 million rather than zero) Bronze = 210+30^x I did the math let’s go

Splat gang, so will eggs count for only your highest total? Like if you get 200 golden eggs, thats all you have contributed to the 700 million quota unless another round you get 201 golden eggs bringing your total for the quota 201 and not 401. I view myself as evp 140. I think I can get silver if I'm lucky. The hazco pools are no longer that great.

I hope that the 1 billion eggs mark is more than 10 gold 30 silver and 300 bronze and maybe it was 15 45 450 or some other multiplyer so the 1 billion mark feels even better to reach

Honestly? If this sort of scaling had have been on every big run? Especially without the 700m+ requirement for them to activate - 1 gold for ever 100m, 3x that for silver, and 10x silver for bronze? Especially if the silver and gold capsules had have been present? I think I'd have been a lot more fine with the reward rates for king salmonid. (And also we'd have more idea of how easy or hard 700m is)
