Grand Caravan fender replacement

I went through several videos and selected this one as my problem was 100 % similar. The direction of fender replacement is very informative and helpful. My Dodge Gr Car is 2001 and I decided do not put new fender, but simply correct old with hummer and it was good. Also I saved money. Thanks a lot!

thanks for the video! I have a 2010 town & country and I'm not replacing the fenders, but I'm going to need to sand, fill, and touch up two rust spots on them (both sides), so your video is very informative on how to remove so i can do all of the sanding and painting off of the car. Thanks!

Good job, turned out to be almost perfect!=) That little groove, behind headlight, looks like you could add there extra screw with silicone/glue, then that would look better too =)You could use a small clamp in there, until glue/silicone dries up....=)

Start out at that one bolt in the rear, 10mm-12 a couple days before. Rest won't piss you off haha. Just get pissed at that one bolt....LOL.....JMO.....Trust me. I've done it👌

How did you get the rearmost hood hinge arm / fender bolt back into place? The hidden one behind the hood hinge. It's a real PITA to get back on due to the restricted space.

thanks for this video ! I realize you did this years ago, but how did you improvise the missing tab on top of fender that screws into the windshield cowling... i have the same problem with my new fender....--- Well i just found my answer in your replies below :) thank you

I am replacing my fender too with the help of this video. I am facing a similar situation with my replacement fender not having that top piece for the cowl vent to screw in place. My question is, what did you do to improvise for that attachment not being on the new Fender? And How are you securing the Cowl Vent down or secured in place?

+Richard Williams You know what, I just didn't do anything and it seems to be just fine. The cowl stayed in place and I'm satisfied so far. It's a 2007 with some other cosmetic issues so I'm not really worrying about it. Good luck with your fender and thanks for watching!

Hey buddy everything worked out great. The damage on my 2007 Chrysler Town and Country was pretty bad. I not only had to replace the fender, I had to also replace the front bumper. I am having the front bumper and driver side fender professionally painted for $250 with 3 coats primer, 3 coats base and 3 coats clear. I paid $122 for the front bumper and $62 for the driver side fender and both included free shipping through Amazon. Here are some of the things I had to replace, the lower control arm with ball joint, left side axle , both struts 2 new Complete headlight assemblies and drivers side mirror. The estimate for the repair was $3,800. I was able to do everything for under $1,300 and pocket the rest, lol thanks to this video.

Thanks for the video. I have to replace the drivers door since it's damaged and I have a replacement already. Do you know if I have to remove the fender to take off the drivers door to get to any bolts? I want to keep my original hinges. Thanks!

+Tim Borgelt I haven't done the door, but I'm pretty sure you can get at all the bolts without having to take off the fender. I have to believe the design wouldn't require that step because it's another hour of stuff to do. Good luck.

Hi I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the body parts have changed much.

@@DougBrownVancouver THANK YOU DOUG,You're right. Already fixed. Haynes manual said to remove the mirror you had to go thru the dash. You saved me a lot of trouble. I replaced the bumper and will doing the hood and hinges this weekend. You're AWESOME. Thank you.
