Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort & a trip to Hell!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott on 7 Mile Beach, along with exploring some great food destinations on the island! We highly recommend renting a car during your stay on Grand Cayman. Next, we went to Hell, a limestone rock formation and geological site on the west end of Grand Cayman where you can send an official postcard from Hell back home - or get your passport stamped from Hell. Fun, and a bit silly we know :)

Amazing thier is no beach left at all there and they had to build a new set of stairs intonthe water. Juat got back today from there.

Yeah, we saw some old photos of what the beach used to look like. Hopefully they can get some of the sand restored. It looked like they're working towards that goal with some barriers under water.

@@willwork2travel Wait, what happened? We've been wanting to go to GC for snorkeling fun, did a storm destroy their beach? I heard about artificial reefs they're implementing, not sure if that's related.

@@thegreenskittle I believe the sand on the beaches shifts naturally along the coast, but has been exaggerated by some shipping lanes that had been added so now they're trying to slow the shifting down by adding some concrete reefs just off shore.
