Hi guys. I really like your content. Wish I had found you folks 6 months ago before I went down the solar rat hole with my 2022 28BH Reflection. While I did not go quite as bid as this customer, I Probably would have sone my layout a little differently if I had seen this first. I did go all Victron so got the major components right. Don’t understand why you don’t have more subscribers as there is a lot to learn from your installs. Please keep up the good work..

Ah... Yea GD com'on. I'll talk bad :-) Furrion sucks with a lot of their products. I have the 2022 303rls and getting ready to do this exact install. Wish I had the money for someone like you guys, but barely can afford the equipment! So we scour KZbin looking for great content like this to help us out. I like the shut off and shunt connected to the Lynx idea, takes up less space and wiring. Great stuff

Great set of videos, I love the experiments. I have a 2020 303RLS, and I was looking to do this kind of install, down to the same panels and 3 panels in series configuration. I am curious about your choice of 150/100 vs 150/85 charge controller. Spec sheet shows 150/85 is up to 1200 watts. I am guessing you want the overhead in capacity for longer controller? Any other pluses to the 150/100?

Nice clean install! how did you mount board? Through bolt it to the existing backboard?

I think just a hand full of wood screws. Hasn’t failed us yet. Edit: if hitting metal support we’ll use those self tapping screws included in solar panel mount kits. About the only thing they are good for.

Kil-a-watt is a great little device to get a sense of AC loads. As far as long term monitoring and logging, I'm not sure.

Materials vary, but expect to pay $5000-$8000 in parts and $3000-$4000 for installation. Prices have come down quite a bit a bit from when this was done.

Minute 5:37 appears you left the old battery disconnect in place? And the wires for the old disconnect show still in place at minute 6:29. The red from the bottom second from the left, and the black bottom 1st from the right.

Yes, I typically leave as much of the stock system in place as possible. I figure if an RV tech needs to work on the system, keep that part functional.

Hey Shawn, what did you do to by-pass the Converter on this 303? Or is the shore power line going into the Converter first before going to the breaker and I missed that.

I’ll need to review it. Usually there is a plug on the back of the breaker panel you unplug and that does it. Worst case you unhooks the main positive from the converter.

What size fuse did you use for the positive terminal that runs to the DC panel bus bar? I know the correct size for the output from the solar controller (100 amps for my solar setup) and from the inverter to the battery (400 Amp T Fuse). My DC fuse panel says max of 160 Amps, so that's what I'm leaning towards. I have the same Reflection model shown here.

Fuses protect wire, so whatever size wire you have you go 10-30% up. So 6 awg we do at 80 amps (rated for 50 amps) and so on. We commonly run 6 awg or 2 awg for DC main to coach. Would be 80 or 125 amps respectively.

Oh... Can this same setup be a 24v system with a 24v to 12v converter and 24v Lithium battery.
