What happens when it rains? Won't the mud absorb the water and get soft?

Well, in my country homes from adobe have some extra ingredients such as a straw, a few types of clay, sand, and even organics, kinda cow manure. All this is converting into strong mass, and to absorb rain's water, it need a long time, maybe a few days. Plus render is adding an additional protection. But a bit strange, that clay is co thin, there are it's around 200mm
