I loved the look of the house, the stone work is gorgeous. They did not mention if they resolved the wall issue, when coming down the stairs, the wall was too low.

In such an extraordinary location, the house feels, sigh, just so ordinary. Expensive and lovely details. But why build a house that is perfectly comfortable in a suburban location on such a grand, windswept site? Where is the Imagination? Where is the Romance? Where is the Adventurous Spirit? How does the house live up to the site and challenge our perceptions of living in such a landscape? Such a disappointment.

I can't believe how many "mistakes" these two highly intelligent people made with their plans. For example, if you want a "long" kitchen bench, take out a tape measure and work out what length you want, then give that information to your architect/designer. They aren't mind readers. And all they do is blame the architect/designer, or building sites in general. They should take responsibility and accept that they stuffed up big time by not checking the plans properly.
