Obviosuly when your younger your voice will be better especially if you sung songs at the age of like 20-25 then sing them 25 years later ofc your not gonna be as good as your younger self. but this is a different song but boy george had a great voice younger but his voice is nice now but its just deeper now so it will sound different.theres good and bad in everything.

hot take, the people that say "singers today suck, they all need autotuuuuune" are actually the ones w bad musical taste. like, I like 80s shit, it was good. but I also like plenty of modern shit. people who brush all modern artists w the same negative brush are just haters, cuz they're demonstrably wrong. maybe lots of popular artists today lean toward a more heavily-produced sound, and maybe that's not everyone's taste, but it's just WRONG that most of artists playing today NEED autotune. What Alex He could sing amazingly well when he was young. It's like night and day of you compare to now! Listen to a song like 'From luxury to heartache' by his banf Culture Club. His voice was so exotic. Like a black female soul singer! His voice is not there anymore unfortunately.

He got vocal nodule few years back that made it hard for him to sing bc his vocal chord wasnt closing all the way or something (hense the airy sound) he had to take a break or risked screwing up his voice completely and this is where hes at in the recovery/getting use to it.

I dont know but there is something wrong with this performance. He should give spot for sheldon riley to sing more. That's why sheldon did'nt show his best to this performance because george sing more than him. And the high notes should be for riley for him to shine. George is not a contestant to compete with riley and to prove us that he can do high notes. Its just so disappointed.

The other problem is that they’re both better solo... by that I mean they are both strong enough personality and singing wise to stand on their own. This felt more like a karaoke battle than a duet and both were competing for the spotlight. If anybody was to show off it was Sheldon because he was the contestant.

I disagree, the song was not good for their voices combined, hard to arrange probably to match both, probably Boy is singing the part that Sheldon was supposed to sing, they had to add the back singer cause it was too late to work on another song deadline close (my speculation I don't have any evidence of it). When they all sing together the bridge, Sheldon's voice disappears and you only hear Boy and the female back singer. At 00:30 he falls flat on that note would have been very evident without the female voice. This song didn't highlight his voice at all bad song choice for him, Boy's mistake of course since he is the coach...
