Wow, I remember when Lynnwood didn't have a transit at all. Then in the bus service started with a bunch of older used buses. There were no designated stops, you just flagged the bus and hopefully it would stop. I was a senior in high school that year, after graduating I moved away, went to school in Germany graduating in 1982. I haven't been back to Lynnwood in more than 30 years, but I'm certainly impressed with how far transit has come since I was a young man. Thanks for posting this wonderful video!😢

Where is home for you now? Lynnwood and Snohomish County in general, has change a lot!

Wow, people are really excited for this. Hopefully one day you’ll have as expansive system as ours, or at least one sufficient for all seattlites

Are you in New York I assume? I doubt we will but it is a big deal for the area. Unfortunately it’s an honor system for how you pay for it. So we see a lot of people not paying. Lots of drug use and homeless riding it for a place to sleep. It will be interesting to see how cities outside of Seattle respond to these issues but it’s also a needed to get around for sure.

Looks great! I'm looking forward to the extension out to Federal Way in 2026 and if this is any indication, it will also be great!

Would have been great if they could have gotten it all the way to Everett already. By the time Federal Way, Redmond and Everett all connect to Seattle, it will be a great system.

Didn't know about open market 🤔
@pnwpaths29252 ай бұрын
Yeah I guess it was just for the grand opening of the Light Rail. It was a good market actually. Hopefully they make it regular thing!

Each new stop had its own market from 4-8pm for the grand opening day. Governor Inslee, etc., were at Lynnwood light rail in the late morning and the grand opening of the Seattle Aquarium expansion in the afternoon. Busy day around here. We’ve waited a long, long time for this link.
