I love the PO-33 but the problem I have with it is I'll make a handful of cool patterns I like, run out of sample room and just stop using it for weeks because I don't want to delete them. I wish there was an easier way to save patterns/songs/back them up and offload them. How cool would a PO that played samples off an SD or microSD with tons of sample time be? I guess I'm just spoiled because of the Sp-404, even the time limit on the OP-Z bums me out nvm the KO. You definitely do some impressive stuff with your KO! Digging the videos.
@GarHoover5 жыл бұрын
I wish you could save songs and have more sample space on the PO-33 too! Who knows, maybe they'll make a PO-33 Pro, that would be genius! I'd pay an extra $50-$100 for more sample space, saving songs, and a microSD slot!

@@GarHoover Teenage Engineering is sitting on a goldmine, if they were willing to improve on their previous releases. An OP-2 or series of Pocket Operators with a bit more functionality at a higher price would sell like crazy. I think it will happen eventually but it doesn't seem like they are into it at the moment.
@Thwap235 жыл бұрын
I guess you could view the OP-Z as that in a way tho. Along with the KO, Speak and Tonic, so who knows. Maybe I'm just reading into stuff I've read too much.
@GarHoover5 жыл бұрын
I get what you mean! The OP-Z for me definitely feels like an complicated Pocket Operator and I really like using it, unfortunately my music I release on the OP-Z doesn't receive the same amount of views as my PO-33 videos even though they are at the quality! I think I need to buy the OP-Lab module for the OP-Z so that I can have all of my TE products jamming together!
@gelatinous69154 жыл бұрын
My advice: get multiple 33s. Actually hear me out here though. Because they can all link together, you can have one sampler for carrying around, sampling percussion noises, and just generally handling the percussion. Then have another one that you process your samples with to create leads and what not.

Damn that is tasty. Is the sound of the water something you recorded with the PO itself?

Does the 33 KO have big bass sampling frequency ? Does it's goes very in hard bass?

When sampling bass it tends to pick up a little bit of buzz and some artifacts on the high end up of the spectrum but using the filter helps correct some of the buzz!

Great Question! Its set to about Swing 4 or Swing 5 on the PO-33 and the Swing on the PO-33 goes up to 9 I believe! I know its a little different than MPCs and stuff that start at 50 so maybe 75 might be good on an MPC for a similar swing?

Kinda need help, how do I upload your samples to my po33? It all gets stored in the first button...
@GarHoover3 жыл бұрын
Hello! I know this is tedious but you will need to record each sample into different banks! Melodic one shots should be in record into the melodic banks and all Drums should be recorded at the same time onto a drum bank. Chords and Rocks should be also be recorded into their own drum banks as well! Hope this helps!

@@marike1100 hahah oh yeah... I'm guilty of that. Sometimes I feel like I need to add a little more intrigue to a video especially if I have sequenced out all of the patterns and just hit play. I prefer filming outdoors whenever possible because the background is a little more dynamic!
@Revitandgo4 жыл бұрын
Idk man if it’s done with taste, you can see the expression in placed objects. It’s only a pretentious hipster thing if it’s done without thought. I see from the two objects 1. An old Tape.. I record loops on tape and incorporate it into my music. It’s Also a reference to old hip hop! 2. The watch. I see an average joe who has to abide by the laws of time to make a living and lead a productive life... but not without taking a break to express himself, not necessarily to the public eye, but for himself he set aside the constraints of “time” to let the feelings of his soul run wild through his art, in this case, making music. But that’s just my opinion, and interpretation.. I feel ya tho man.. lots of pretentious people getting in on a cinematography trend. But I do believe that some mean to relay a certain message sometimes... through their true self expression.
@zorbanongreco4 жыл бұрын
@@Revitandgo yes, I thought the "objects" were relevant. Cassette= old school sounds. Wristwatch= time passing. Great track.🐂💨💨💨💨

You basically used it as a 4 track recorder.
@GarHoover10 ай бұрын
Hello, if you listen to the samples in the description or watch my tutorial, you will see that I have recorded in chords and I am sequencing out and adjusting the length of them and the same with the waves. All sounds in the track are sequenced out as I saw fit. The sample time of 40 seconds does not make the PO-33 viable or realistic as a four track recorder.
