Thank you so much for the effort that you put into this! I received a PO as a gift and this helped me figure it out step-by-step. The flow felt a bit daunting at first but with this guide I feel like I'm getting the hang of it!

Awesome guide. Seems obvious in some ways, but literally having the exact samples you worked and being able to follow along was really helpful. Thanks for you time and contribution.

I love the po KO 33 I liked it so much I decided to get the novation circuit rhythm as its kinda the same work flow it even has the same sort of grid effects...I love record samples into the KO and taking with me as I go a walk so I can make beats as I go .. simple basic samplers are so fun u can actually make the po. Sound amazing if u record it into a multi track add eq compression ect I usually record it on two track and pan them both different to bring a little bit of stereo back into the mix

Just a friendly reminder to keep your thumbs well clear if you aren't pressing buttons. Sometimes you make little anticipatory movements and it confuses this newbie. It makes me have to rewind and decipher. Also more narration of your every move would be helpful. That sounds like thankless criticism but honestly I'm very thankful for this video and just trying to help you understand what's tough on our end.

Thanks for that drum diagram at about 2:30 into the video. I've got no musical talent or knowledge at all. It's quite overwhelming knowing where to start with learning any musical knowledge as well! So it's useful to have that drum pattern to experiment with building on.

Great video, my only comment is that you sometimes say the wrong number of the button you’re pressing because you’re reading it top down instead of bottom up (so you said 5 when it should have been 9 and 6 when it should have been 10, etc.) it definetly had me confused at first but when I watched your fingers I got what I was supposed to do. Other than that this is by far the best po33 tutorial I’ve seen so far

First, I love this tutorial, where you actually show how to sample and give us something to sample. All the other tutorials talk over what they sample, or edit something out assuming the viewer knows what's happening. Super easy to follow along. I have a question, after you copy into 5 and trim for the bass drum, you move to 6 and trim for the hi-hat. When I do that the entire sample trims to the hi-hat and and I lose the trim in 5. Is there a step I'm missing?

I was thinking about getting one of these,but ultimately i decided to focus on saving up to get a MPC for once and for all. I still need some kind of studio monitor (I'm thinking about getting a BT speaker because I don't have a dedicated space for my workstation and it would also double down as a speaker for family use) and a decente headset since I'm using my PS4 ones. But i would like to get my hands on one of these calculators
@Mekazazzo3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the MPC One can do so much for its size, its def worth every penny! Awhile back, I moved into an apartment and couldn’t use my monitors, my best investment was the Audio Technica ATH-M50x Studio Headphones. Out of all the headphones I ever used, they have the most accurate and clear sound which make it super easy to mix. I still use them now even while gaming. BT speakers are cool too but they won’t be accurate for mixing since they usually add extra bass, either way have fun with it! Its the music that matters

@@Mekazazzo thanks for the tip! I was thinking about getting a pair or Sony's that very well reviewed (MDR 7506) but I'll look into those too. The One is the main contender,but since I'm still in the platonic stage of the saving up,by this time either are an option. My main goal is to be able to use it in the couch at the end of the work day,so either are ok,even if the live 2 has speakers. also the live is too big to be comfortable on the couch next to my wife :D
