Looking forward to when they will be releasing the Grand Power K100 CO version as I have been interested in a polymer DA/SA with an optics ready slide. The CZ P01 & P07, Beretta PX4, and HK P30 are all great pistols, but don't have an optics ready slide from the factory. Looks like Grand Power will be filling a gap in the market by producing affordable DA/SA defense carry pistols.

What's your opinion of carrying a Grand Power? I hear the reliability isn't the greatest..I don't know if that's because of the rotating barrel or what.

I carried a K100D for years and have not had any reliability issues. That includes running them through gour days of training in the dusty desert and three days of training in snow and sleet in the mountains.

They are extremely fragile and most likely will break. Out of my 7 geand powers, 6 have broke. I've owned my P11 for about a month, and I now have to send it back for the second time tor warranty

​@@GBGunsalways interesting how for good or for bad things and ideas take off on the 'net and other secondhand sources. My advice for folks would be that if a firearm works well for you in conditions that you work and play in, that's what you go with. A person's own observations and experiences need to be first and foremost in mind's eye. Regarding GP, and regarding this audience, a certain channel put one through his testing "protocol" and it failed miserably. Of course, even a rural Alaskan LE would have considered his testing unrealistic and fantasical at best. Boy howdy though, if I had six of one brand of anything fail me, I certainly wouldn't be buying a seventh. Heck, probably not a third or even a second.

Stay away from these Grand Powers. Ive owned 2 K100 Xtrims, xcalibur, Q1, Q100, P11. All of them have broke with little usage. Here are the broken spreadsheet: X-calibur- firing pin got lodged into the slide K100 X-Trim- hammer gets caught in double action, double action basically acts as decocker, send back 2x Q1- striker assembly broke, sent back twice Q100- Striker indicator broke off, have a new striker assembly in the mail P11: the exact same problem as Xtrim, hammer would get caught in double action, firing pin block fell out, firing pin tip broke off. All in 1 month, the gun has been away for repair longer fhan ive held it They also are unreliable, none will go through 1000 rounds without stovepiping, light primer strikes, etc. Headache, stay away
