3:04 That's exactly why I switched to a 9mm PCC for home defense. The noise level is tolerable when you fire it indoors, it has a higher capacity than a standard handgun, it's a more stable platform, and, for me, it provides the confidence of having enough firepower and being able to acquire a target quickly under pressure.

Just be informed that Grand Power has said that their gun was made to shoot ball ammo through it. Their guns are not JHP friendly, mainly because of the magazines. I have seen that people have had great luck with Hornady Critical Duty.

I ran Winchester PDX through it fine, but had problems with Sig V Crown 115grain, but only with a full magazine. There’s another KZbin video of a guy shooting all kinds of HPs through the Stribog with no problems, but he only loaded three per mag.

My set up is almost the same. Romeo5, Kaw Valley comp, but 2" long, and I just ordered the spring from M-Carbo plus ordered a HD industries charging block replacement made from Aluminum and it keeps bolt always at front , prevents from moving back on it's own. O-light , of course. Love this firearm.

Nice setup and I agree on it being a perfect home defense PDW. I found that placing the Valkyrie on the top mount allows easier access to turn the light on, and gives my hand better clearance. Also, the view on my optic (with riser) isnt obstructed when mounted on top. Great video by the way!

They have smaller versions of that linear comp. That one is just too massive and funky looking in my opinion

I went with a single point sling with an SB brace mount. Works well cause the Stribog is so short and relatively light. No spotlight, I added Magpul pic grips in that location.

Nice setup you have there. I now have 3 Olight products. I have one white light handheld and one uv handheld, plus I have one the earlier PL2 Valkyrie weapon lights. I don't have the pro, just the older one that uses the 2 CR123A batteries. Anyway, yes they are made in Chyna. I really like the way they work. So far they seem to be holding up well. I have the PL2 mounted on my shotgun and so far so good, I haven't had any problems with it handling the recoil.

I’ve got a 7.5” suppressed ar pistol in 300blk. It’s my go-to for home defense. Are there any advantages for getting a pcc to replace it? Obviously you can never have enough guns and 9mm is cheaper but it there a big enough difference or practical reason to consider switching to a pcc? Thanks, keep up the great videos
@MisterTengu4 жыл бұрын
What ammo are you using for home def? Also if shooting indoors, wouldn't the sound just echo off the wall in front of you from the linear comp? I've never been in that situation to know if it would make a big difference or not.

Nice setup.This is one I have been considering.Now the A3 is out but.....higher price.....ughh.Currently considering a Foxtrot Mike FM9 , as it has a good price, very reliable & takes Glock mags.I'm really liking that linear brake.Anything that can help save your hearing is worth it.This is the main reason I want a 9mm vs a higher caliber for home defense.

i also run a Kaw Valley Precision 9mm xl linear comp. its noise reduction for the shooter is pretty good for not being a suppressor and it will save your ears in a pinch! i put a holosun 403b and a stark se-5 afg on it. no light yet, will probably grab an mlok light eventually.

Olights stuff is definitely made in China. That said I bought their s1a’s years ago and they still run, and one got lost in the backyard and found a month later and it still runs. They’re waterproof solid lights.

How did you get the thread protector off? I just picked up the Gen 3 and the thread protector will NOT budge. My Gen 2 came off fairly easy but this SOB won't budge.
@whiskeyislife64984 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t choose 9mm for home defense personally. It actually will over penetrate more than 5.56. It’s also not likely to stop the threat as quickly. Keeping your hearing doesn’t do any good if the bad guy shoots you. I also think Holosun optics are superior to Vortex and Sig and can be had for as little as $150. All that said, this is only my opinion and thus not worth much. Any gun you have and are comfortable using is the best gun for you.

This particular firearm is well put together and incredibly fast to get on target. Agree re: holosun red dot

Any Mag issues with keeping it loaded? Cracked mags? Can you run federal HST through it?
@armedpatriot86114 жыл бұрын
I just bought one and also was wondering this. The mags seem a little cheap.
@mikestevens20534 жыл бұрын
I’ve cracked several mags at the feed lips with light use. Grand power plans to ship steel reinforced mags to the US but no definitive time line. Definitely need to top load the mags, and treat them gingerly. This is the only reason I don’t use mine for home defense

Own one it's fun to shoot but not sure how you are using it for home security. If you leave the mag loaded it will fail. mine cracked after a week front and back so disappointed now it's just a range toy. Still no response from global ordanance.
