I just bought this today and got it for £3600 half off sale at boutique . I have a 7 1/2" wrist and love the 37mm size. it doesn't have a screw down crown like you said and yet is still 100m water proof. the watch is absolutely beautiful and sold my Rolex Air King to buy it.

I had the chance to see this watch in person and the dial is very interesting indeed. I've never seen this technique used on any GS dial yet. On paper the 13mm sounds soo thick but in person it wears pretty comfortable, you won't notice the extra thickness. I still not yet decided to pick this piece up or not as I'm waiting for a 36mm DJ also.

Photos and videos simply can't do this dial justice. It's amazing how the different "cloud" layers reflect light differently at various angles in the metal. I wish it had a 9SA5 movement, but after seeing the dial in person, I just couldn't resist and bought one.

Appreciate the personal opinion notes at end of review. Provides context and aesthetic notes about the size at 37mm which seems small at first but appealing for its sophistication and strength of design and execution. IMHO this is for the kind of wearer who rocks a SBGW231!

Thanks Chris. I also appreciate all of your efforts in making the videos. Today, I'm wearing my SBGH295 as it matches my colour scheme of the day. I very much enjoy this watch...and I recently put a Matte Boreal Green Alligator Signature Strap on it...acquired from Delugs. I think this strap is perfect for this watch. The quality of the straps and service from Delugs is outstanding, in my experience. 'Just 5 days to get it from Singapore to Toronto. Amazing. Frankly, I'm not fond of the leather straps from GS because they are always overly long...with the tail sticking out too far.

Another "limited edition " watch? This watch is a little too small, a little too thick. I have an Orient Star open heart watch that is just as thick as the GS. The watch is nice but the thickness makes the watch somewhat uncomfortable because it easily gets banged against table tops etc. So I cant picture the GS as being any less uncomfortable to wear due to the thickness.
