That's just lovely-what a beautiful face! Is this part of the Evolution series? I've never liked the dial-side power reserve indicators on Grand Seiko's spring drives, and this model shows how great those dials can look without it. Thanks for sharing.

Speaking about price, I'm wondering.. do you think that with time, they're trying to see year after year if people are still excited and buying by increasing the price again and again? I mean, the Msrp is already 2k higher thant the slga007 that was supposed to be limited edition...

I'd love to answer with certainty, but some has to be brand positioning as both are Ti with spring drive. However, this is the newer 5 day movement and evolution 9 design.

Perfect…other than that damn clasp. I don’t see why GS can’t come up with an on-the-fly system. Pin and collar and no micro adjust is just a deal breaker at that price point. Otherwise, it’s an absolute stunner.

Hi Mr Gnome, I wonder if the pin and collar arrangement is because screw threads and titanium don't mix well? Titanium is prone to galling... You're right about the clasp though. This watch might be improved with a smart blue strap... It's still a cracking watch though. 🙂

@@robertlock6041 I guess that's possible, but Tudor has figured out a way with the Pelagos, and Rolex with the titanium Yacht Master. I just think Seiko in general has a thing for pin and collar systems.

My SBGN019 fits perfectly on my 7.5" wrist with one large link and 2 small links removed. Spot on. No complaints.

One reason i dont buy grand seiko is their silly bracelet for high end watch. Not worth 10k even tudor and omega make better watch for less

Their bracelets do suck. That gap is an eye sore, especially for a watch this expensive

Always said the same. They change everything about a normal Seiko to make a GS except the bracelet…such a disappointment
